Well these gnats this round are driving me bunkers. Been using microbelift bti. Sticky traps. Diatomaceous earth. Serval sprays and soil drenches and I’m about to throw up the flag.
I’ve always been a soil guy for the ease and flavors / density I get from soil. But I’m honestly contemplating going all soilless like coco/ or straight promix or something I can use small containers and just fertilizer every watering. At the farm I’ll be ride or die recycled soils but since my basement has transitioned into seed production and testing plants it kinda makes since just to use a simple nutrient and move on with hopefully less gnats.
And I won’t be the guy to play the blame game but these gnats showed up when I had broken down and used bagged soil for some seedlings that needed a transplant right away and I don’t have any extra recycled soil laying around. They literally flew out of the bag and my dumbass said “o, couple gnats in veg … no problem I have plenty of time to clear em
Out before they hit the rest of my tents.
Fuxking A I was wrong.
So any inputs on one part nutrients that could be used great with coco or promix shoot me a suggestion.
I’ve had good results with flora nova in the past, but wouldn’t be opposed to like jacks 321 or some other simple option. My average veg time is like 2 weeks for production so I’m almost thinking no veg nutrient and straight to the bloom and flip the plants.
Either way I’m off to find some course sand for the nuclear option of just covering every inch of soil. Rant over happy Sunday!!!
