Photon taming put us back on track. This is the BloodyRomGF that had an acorn for a tip only a few days ago.
Goodbye Asparagus !
The green is fading as the white returns.

I am spoiled with this even canopy.
I am spoiled with these fancy new dimmable ballasts
Re-positioned and measuring the three most intense points to average 1000ppfd. With 1500 W between the two bulbs the fall off is acceptable.
;if I was running the full 2K I could raise the lights up and perhaps get better coverage.
25% more power costs
25% more heat
it's diminishing returns, I don't think I'm going to get 25% more bud.

Did make a conscious effort to run cooler tamps, this round. Weather is milder, I have more precise control. When is 30 below you just shovel on the coal and pray you don't freeze where you stand.
Shoulder season is the best for my indoor growing.
Sept-Nov and Mars-May.
[ this warrants further investigation ]
Daytime temperatures are up, and have been getting away without running the heater much. Gives me rope to muck about. Trying to push down dark temps. Humidity will invariably rise to 65% if I dip below 16 Celsius, so that is where I have been drawing this stupid line.
Nothing but powdery mildew in Root Cellar conditions.

Anywho, the temps ,,,
I wanna try to darken some plants, just to enjoy the fall foliage. I don't see any fade like that, anymore.
My first few grows were in my basement Nursery, I always got a good fade in there: purples ,yellow, orange ,blacks. Since I moved out to the garage my plants always finish green.
The nursery did not have a heater. In the dark, the house would keep the garden above 12 Celsius, and the humidity would come creeper over %80rh, the longer the lights were off.
Growing now, in the garage, I force hot air under the raised beds. Roots staying above 17C, humidity below %40.
Got fade and PM in the basement. All green and never PM in the garage.

The only other difference that I may speculate upon is the addition of rabbits to our family. I have been sweetening that compost pile and tuning my mix for years now. I am still using the same bottled Nute regimen that I have been using since day one, @25-50% of the manufacturer suggested dosage.
I don't know why I want to blame N, but perhaps I'm overspending/overproviding on it ?

Not complaining, I may have the mosy greazy girl I ever laid eyes on, growing in the garden- right now.
These frost rails could get me banned from the entire internets.

Just messing with the white balance 20240429_010906.jpg

What you see is what I get; these sick-ugly unicorns never over produce.

Watching the backyard come to life.
20240429_153838.jpg
There is not a single leaf on that tree.
These 'oats' are the first to show.
20240429_153044.jpg
Leaf tips are forming.
Couple weeks of Quaker rain in the forecast

Been harvesting tea, mostly for the lilac and strawberry. I will top it up and then empty it into the soul pile.
It's about time to move to fish out there. It may snow again, but we won't have ice.

Last year I only managed 7 blossoms on this lilac. This year, for some reason, it is going hog-wild.
Never seen more blossoms on this thing.
20240429_153136.jpg
Our bunny loves to eat those flowers. She will be getting a bouquet a day.

This foliage is a big patch of poppies, up the street.
20240429_155338.jpg
Dunno what that little guy is, but I will take any flash of colour.

These are Poplar stickers. Giant Balsam are more common up north, but you can find them down here.
20240429_162057.jpg
Equally as resinous as cannabis, but infinitely more abundant. These buds will wreck your socks, and if you track them across the kitchen floor, your mom will kill you.

So,,, this guy is definitely F'd.

Holy rails man 😯

That thing has a mean pucker going on.
She is too pretty to live, and too ugly to die.
G sent some greezy ladies my way.

As did Bodean 🐰
-Rebel OG 20240508_003952.jpg
Wish I grew more of it, I get sleepy just looking at it.

Those top leaves still weird me out. I don't know if it was looking to reveg or what.
Frosty enough, and filling out, nonetheless.

Green Avenger
20240508_003114.jpg
That one we have seen before. She is very deep down there. Shows the touch of velvet, and wants to finish quick.

#2 Green Avenger tucked in tight, hard to photograph.

20240508_005234.jpg

None of these Avengers are plus sized, certainly they would benefit from increased veg time.
Three is a looker, though-eh?
20240508_004442.jpg
I will take a corn cob of that.

Looking at a bumper crop up in here.
Chronologically, just past peak production.
3 more weeks puts me at 100 from soak, but I cheated a week of 24/7 in there. With a 90-110 day window, we should see Avenger and PinePomme coming down by the end of the month.

Cross examination

12 strains
1 is Fem seed
5 are mine
4 I have grown before
3 have never been grown
10 branches have been pollinated

3 have never been grown
If you are sparkley, fat and fast, you have a good chance of getting hit around here.
That is how we ended up with this.

Hazy bracts

20240514_003852~2.jpg

#2 is half-pint, fat bracts , and faster.
20240514_003747.jpg
Bit more leaf on her
Stunner tho
20240514_003802.jpg

20240514_003912.jpg

#3 is my obvious favourite.
Nearly as fast and twice the size as #2. That is solid nuggy meat-bling, and I don't say it will take a whole minute to trim it.

Start with a PinePomme, before we get back down to business.

Very nice @Bodean.

I been playing with Respect for a few years now. The Reunion Zamal in there has always intrigued me, and I finally smashed some back together.

Zamaldelicia×JtrRespect

Piles of Sativa, but they are not altogether showing it.
20240514_004142.jpg

Second one is lording over the show
For thin leaf stock, the stretch is survivable.
This is her at 6 and 7 weeks,

Capture+_2024-05-14-02-36-42_(1).png

Capture+_2024-05-14-02-37-14_(1).png
She popped up week 6 through 8

84 days above ground
20240514_004226_HDR.jpg

The third one is the looker.
You know, on paper, this should be one long winded, floppy, floofer.

Ace calls for 88 days of flower on Zamaldelish, I might have my beauty hung 100 days from soak
20240514_004243.jpg

Leaf is sparse, and fading on cue.
I got 'spank me' lucky on this one.
