I had mis-captioned this as a MK Ultra in a previous post.
Not so. ?

Imagine my elation , and detect an air of pride when I tell you this is one of my own ,
JTR X Respect.

Respect buds can be long and floofy. JTRipper seems to pass down a pile of sugarleaf.
I think I may have hit the jackpot on this one. It is shaping up to be a no-trim chonker.

Just a word of caution when adding potash to soil...to much can cause lockout of other critical nutrients...If the ppm is 61 to 120, apply 2 pounds per 1,000 square feet; for 121 to 181 ppm, a single pound per 1,000 square feet should suffice. Any result greater than 181 means your soil already has sufficient potassium for planting.
Thanks I Honestly didn't know that.

Potash hot
Wood ash cool
Wood ash is closer to 0-1-3
Beneficial up to 22 tonne per Ha.
It will raise the EC and bacterial populations, at that rate. @13 ph it will alky the soil, as well.

keep multiple species of Catfish as pets.

Do you have to cut them up first, or are your fish big enough to eat a whole cat??

I have an Amazonian Red Tail Catfish that will be capable of asking how many kids come in a kid's meal when he's an adult lol. The Eclipse Catfish will probably max out at like a foot or maybe foot and a half, the Cuckoo Catfish from Africa is pretty tiny though. But yeah Red Tail Catfish get almost 6 feet. 20211018_125532.jpg 20201103_162733.jpg

A.
Less than 16 strides.

I bagged these in oversized trash sacks, then ran like hell for the house.
Less than 30 seconds , these things were outdoors.

Burnt them to hell.

Damn bro that's COLD too! The lowest I've seen plants around here get was 27 degrees Fahrenheit, as that was the coldest it got before the outside stuff was ready season before last but they took it and the snow like champs, and it was no where near as cold as that. Glad your results were good though.

@Amarok got it way worse.
We rarely hit -40C here. It was dead calm, and that makes it tolerable.

Got a bit of a Chinook today. Story goes that word means snow-eater.
It makes for an excellent lesson in sublimation. Snowdrifts will go from a solid to a gas without leaving a puddle on the ground.

I miss Chinooks. I grew up on the eastern slopes of the Rockies and there is nothing like waking up in the middle of a cold winter night to the sound of that warm wind blowing and water dripping.

Not sure if you know Corb Lund's stuff. He grew up in your neck of the woods. He was my neighbor up here while we were both in college. Started out in the smalls, a punk band, before transitioning to country.

looking plump.

These are both Bloody Taffie, @Amarok. One in front of the other.
20220113_133542.jpg I got to looking closely at them , and have spotted differences.
This front one has green peitoles.
Better calyx ratio.
Less stretch.
Denser overall
20220113_133607.jpg This one has purple peitole .
Taller.
Smaller bud.
20220113_133627.jpg Leafy bud.
Might be frostier.

If I was a cull'n in veg, I might look for taller, lanky specimens. Are you seeing any purp ?

I'll have to look for purple. I haven't spent a lot of time with them and currently they are dark during the day so they have a bit more heat at night. I will try to take some photos soon.

Re the smalls
They were my neighbors. Me and my scuzzy roommates had to pass their house to get to our place from the bus stop, back around '88/'89. Not sure who lived there, but it was their practice space, and they were bad then; like couldn't play basic ACDC, bad. I was surprised when I was visiting my home town a few years later and my friends were like "you've gotta check these guys out. they're awesome!"

They ended up having a pretty successful career, though I never listened to them much. I am a big fan of a lot of Corb's alt-country stuff (though if I never hear the Truck Got Stuck again, that would be okay).

We partied in the same circle but weren't close. The west end was pretty happening back then, before the MacEwan Arts Campus shut down. Lots of interesting and creative people were around.

If we ever smoke one together, ask me about the buck-knife story.:ROFLMAO:
