Autos entering Summer .

The ones in cups are growing much faster. I need to transplant in a day or two and add our other 100w QB in there so the whole closet gets even coverage. Yours are looking great!

Thanks buddy . Be interesting to see how they both grow . I’m entering our Summer next month where I’ll probably struggle with heat issues in the room . See how I go . I’m hanging my hat on these girls for now after a massive gnat infestation near on destroyed my photos roots .

We are in mid autumn and they are calling for snow Friday. We grow in an unfinished basement originally built in 1947 so whatever temp it is outside it'll be close to that in the basement without some intervention. I had to disconnect the heat duct that goes to our bathroom in the basement so we get a little heat but without insulation the temp drops rapidly when the heat goes off. It never gets below freezing down there but i've seen ice on the walls in the storage room down there when it's really cold. Hopefully covering all the walls with plastic sheeting plus the 2 HID lights will keep it in the 70s with the tents closed. I know we'll figure it out. Another problem is the cost for heating our house costs 3x more than last winter. Its going to be a very challenging winter for us on all fronts.

Sounds like you’ll have to improvise at some stage . Electricity for us down under especially the state I live in cost wise is ridiculous. My last 3 months usage bill was like $1200 US dollars . Admittedly that was through winter with my wife’s hair salon tapped into it as well but still expensive .
My winter temp in the room dropped to 40-45 F during the night which caused what looked to me like lock out and they pretty well went stagnant in growth and eventually yellowed and struggled . Was only when I threw an oil radiator in the room and raised temps they recovered and recommenced growth .
Then in Summer I’ll have to look at increasing airflow . I have an 8inch Infinty only set on about number 3 otherwise it’s too noisy at night when it’s calm so I may have to look at ducting it up into my roof cavity instead of out the window to reduce noise .

Ram Daddy - Haven't crept back far enough in your grows. How have the Fastbuds done for you in the past?
Not too bad but nowhere near as stable as other breeders . I’ve got some great grows from them , Gorilla Cookies in particular were solid but then some strains the Pheno variations are extreme .
I take Autos with a pinch of salt . Nothing really serious . To me they’re a sow and see type of mindset .
I probably use Fastbuds for the fact I can get hold of the beans relatively easy compared to say Mephisto .

Thank you for the reply. Your Outdoor Autumn Autos had caught my eye a few days back, and I've been meaning to ask.
Sure do understand the access thing. Luckily, our options are rapidly expanding...!!!

Not to harp on fastbuds autos, I found they were very unstable in the past myself, autos have come a long way, breeding now has improved to the point I run a perpetual auto grow along my photo grows.

Well the results are in from my Outdoor Autumn experiment .
In summary I’d say not worth it . To be fair though my outdoor placement could have allowed more sun but because of my friendly neighbourhood rip offs I have to keep them concealed to a degree . The frost was terrific . The yield poor as anticipated. A single main Cola basically with very little side branching . Was still fun though seeing what would be ??‍♂️ 73CC8B59-64CD-4BEE-BF77-2B0630F8DD2B.jpeg 367F01E9-79ED-4A16-B459-5464D7AE3BF4.jpeg AC024CDD-0622-4C87-95D1-2E260704AAB5.jpeg 894E67E5-96DB-4C8A-992B-E2880CC84E2D.jpeg

Looks like quality was there, but quantity was a tiny bit lacking. Like you say, you had fun and you also gained some knowledge.

I need to decide in the next day or two if I'm going to pop any of my last couple autos for an outdoor run.
I hope you do .
Always adds another element for us viewers rather than the same indoor “safe” grow .
Let’s see what you can produce in that great frozen land you call home ??

I think you done fine, sometimes autos just don’t grow big, looks like quality stuff.
