Anybody here play with drones? Pretty cool to be able to set the drone outside my door, put on goggles, & fly down to the edges of my property to see what's goin on while I'm physically sitting on the couch.

Just having a bird's eye view of everything around me is pretty cool... along with getting stoned af zipping around in & out of the house like I'm flying something outta starwars lol.

Dude that sounds awesome. It never dawned on me you could rock goggles and virtual reality that mofo!

Peeping Toms got it easy these days, ?

I just got a tiny hawk 2 as my first real drone & it's a lot of fun.

My dad was always into rc planes but as a kid I couldnt muster the courage to control something you couldn't really stop & the whole flying line of sight coming back at yourself making controls backwards messed with me (especially since I couldnt stop ?).
He had a computer simulator & I would fly around in first person all the time for that reason. Long story short I couldnt fly line of sight without stressing tf out about losing control & crashing so I just never got into it like he was.

Many years later.

Drones have changed all of that. Your range of motion is unlimited & you can manipulate it in the air to stop almost instantly. So I learned with a slower cheapy how to fly around in the house & worked on my ability to fly line of sight which is still pretty cool sitting inside your living room.

Now with the first person camera & goggles on the tiny hawk I'm ripping all over the house through bedrooms & hallways, shooting chair & catpole gaps like I'm in a f18 or something ?.

Would be cool to build a drone agility course, race a friend. Watched a few drone races, looked fun asf.

I'm telling my dad he needs one so when I visit we can race in the house when its shitty outside.
We get some strong winds here pretty much daily right around 3 til dark. Early morning is the best time to fly this one outside, even the slightest breeze can carry it like a leaf.

if I ever see any neighbors using drones to view on me,I’ll spray that bitch out of the sky with my pressure washer

fuck em, stay on your property or air zones or it’s mine ;)
Completely agree, flying over residential is a no go, besides the invasiveness of it, you could always lose signal & drop outta the sky onto someone's head.

You'd be surprised tho, unless you damage a prop or fry something electrical, it takes a lot to knock a larger one outta the sky.

get a paintball gun and freeze the paintballs ;)

Or so what if they can still fly if u use a paint sprayer and shoot it with paint . Those sprayers can go way high and make the adjustment sprayer wide vs single focused spraying

That'll do em hahahaha! For real I think itd be fun paintballing a drone like shooting clays. There's a very cool video of drones filming clays being shot & the drone takes a few pellets of birdshot before it goes down.

A kid up the street used to spy on my daughter laying by the pool with his drone. I took it out with my Sheridan. Never seen another since.
I have a Benjamin discovery pcp air rifle .22cal. & 900fps it's really accurate has a special pump to air it up to 2000 psi then it's good for about 30 shots I had a 5mm Sheridan it's a pretty formidable air rifle

Yeah, old Blue Streak I got for Christmas when I was around 11. That thing will drive tacks at 20 yards. Fun little plinker.
