Seriously considering one of these.

Looks like you can choose different media to fill the head? Different size beads too, what have you settled on?
I bought the stock unit from a Canadian supplier.
I saw that the dealer, Cannabis Hardware, does(or did) sell it with assembly required and options to choose from, but since those weren't available to me, I have no knowledge of their various merits.

I'm sure I could tweak little things, but you experienced what my stock unit does, even with no practice. I'm very happy with what I have.
If you pull the trigger, just make sure you have a backup bowl, since not being able to use a high end rig because of a $15 bowl sucks. It doesn't have to be an injector bowl. The injector fits 18mm connections, so a creative person has lots of options.

even with no practice.
I only fumbled like 4 times, nearly knocked a bubbler/diffuser onto the floor, had to remind myself, "don't touch the hot part it's not like the plate the server just put in front of you".

Multiply that by 10x that's me on the website looking for what idk?? Pulled the trigger on the basic unit.

This one might be incentive for you to trade that axe for Sawzall?

Good on ya! Your lungs will thank you.

RE 12volt power, I posted one a few posts up, but I looked up the specs, and the regular AC controller should run off of even a low powered inverter. I keep meaning to test mine.
I saw that one too, the one I linked looks like it actually runs off a power tool battery (their description looks a little off) you can select what brand tools between Milwaukee and DeWalt.

Definitely doing this for my lungs and taste buds, should be able to consume a little less too. Another big plus is no need for nasty bong water and at least on previous vape units the resin and other byproducts are easier to deal with.

so you invert the unit into the bowl and its the heater? My old brain can't comprehend some of the complicated smoking devices these days. part of me always wants to ask "but how do you clean all the compartments back out?"
On the Arizer the heater comes with stems..In that case it wouldn't be inverted..The heater never requires cleaning..The stem just pops in and out.. cleaning the stem is simple as soaking in alcohol a couple hours..You can. Order a special short stem that makes it able to invert on to the bubbler..I put that dab catch on the bubbler for easy cleaning...That yellow cap just pops off ...Can get some nice vape resin out of it..super clean stuff..Ide assume most ppl don't use a bubbler with the solo... however my asthma thanks me for it

would prefer to use a bubbler myself if just to cool the smoke.

Well over a year now and the B-0 is still my daily driver. I change up bowls and pipes/bongs for fun, but haven't even considered another desktop vaporizer. I turn it on in the morning and it stays on until I leave or go to bed.

The Arizer AirMax has about a year and a half of use and is still a great session vape. It mostly gets utilized while traveling. The small case of prefilled tubes remains super practical.

For fishing, it's mostly the dynavaps. A really handy addition to the arsenal was a portable induction heater for them. I didn't have to worry about wind anymore while in the canoe or on the riverbank. I'm back to mostly using a torch in the ice tent, as it works well and is cheaper to replace if it gets wet.

A great second use for the dyna/induction combo is bedside. I don't sleep well, and a quick hit in the middle of the night can sometimes be a big help in getting back to sleep. I don't want to be using a torch in bed, but the IH is safe and effective and is easily used in the dark.

That's the one I have.
Really? With the USB C charging? They must have released it earlier there.

I just watched the video and the Solo Max interface looks identical to the Air Max. Main difference is the size, the slightly faster heatup, and the dual 18650 batteries vs the single, larger battery in the Air Max.

Perhaps not then because it doesn't have USB C port..For some reason I couldn't watch the vid...Just seen the pic and it looks the same...So they have a solo 2 and a solo 2 max....I love the solo..Had the original one last for many years..still have that old dead thing as I could not part with it..It's like a old trophy or part of the family or something 😆.. I tried to find a video that wasn't restricted, but it's brand new so there isn't much out on it. The place that posted that video doesn't even have it in stock yet.

Per the vid, the Solo 2 has been around since 2017(crazy, eh?).
The Solo Max isn't a redesign, more of an upgrade.

Not sure if you are aware, but they also released a vape called the (iirc)Air SE, which is basically an Air 1 with a bit of an interface upgrade, that's quite inexpensive. I think it's about $125CAD and is getting good reviews. It's a quality entry level unit or a nice backup. The OG tubes still fit in all the new units.

I would like to find something for more ON THE GO...i did construct a travel case that fits the bubbler and all...The solo 2 I just wouldn't consider a convenience as far as on the go portability goes..
