That’s a beautiful grow man .
While genetics play a big role so does growing the plant into something that isn’t boof. The best genetics in the world won’t help a crappy grow. That’s one of the reasons why we have it where the growers showcase their own work. Also we encourage participation so have him post, the more the merrier ?

It is fun! And you're right, the competitions fierce so you know just how good your photo was. Top notch brother ??
But in a friendly, almost noncompetitive way, IMO.
Rather than a cutthroat battle, it's more like a mutual admiration thread. Nobody throws shade or makes passive aggressive(or straight aggressive) posts.
I don't spend much time in these threads, but when I do pop in, all I see(in addition to amazing plants) are compliments and admiration.

I don’t have time for bullshit people with negative mindsets .
There’s enough crap already in life sometimes without making chill time amongst friends a place of battle .
It just occurred to me that whatever the opposite of the "crab-bucket" mentality is, that's PH.
How about the "a rising tide raises all boats" concept? That seems close.
In many places, people see someone doing something better than themselves and rather than improve themself, they try to tear down those above them to achieve equality.
Here, the prevailing mentality is to be challenged to improve when we see someone do something we wish to do. And those who are doing well are humble and helpful, and take genuine pleasure from sharing what they have learned. Winning all around.
