Currently hot as shit outside. We haven't had frost as of yet. Other than my garden of course LOL. It doesn't really start getting cool here until mid to late October, which is why I don't generally run a lot of Sativa dominant stuff, because those, in my very VERY limited experience, are the ones most likely to not like cold weather. I end up shaking snow off my plants in the morning every year. Personally I've not had a real issue with this other than like, 3 plants; The "Hawaiian Sunshine" that took forever to finish, totally hated cold weather, and got moldy, so I lost a bunch of branches, and then two Motor Breath bagseed plants have also been a little unhappy about snow, but it's rare.
Thus far at least, Chem D has not only not cared about cold, but looked stunning while doing it. The snow can be a pain because of the moisture, but a little shake here and there drops that off, and once the Sun is up, and it warms back up during the day in November, they keep on going. Cheese I don't think I've ever actually had any issues with over it being cold. There has to be something in those genetics that simply doesn't care if it gets chilly outside.
Cheese and Chemdog crosses being so high on my favorites list, is nice, because they don't mind my climate. The real pain for me, is humidity. It's literally worse than rain in my experience. I've had plants in a greenhouse that weren't getting rained on, but the lack of better air flow in there, actually caused me more bud rot, than the plants with bigger buds outside had. Which kind of blew my mind.. I thought having rain would cause that easier, but I was wrong. Mind you, that also depends on genetics; Some strains simply don't have a huge problem with mold as others do.
Looks like it's going up to almost 90 today.... I have a few plants I need to check the resin on and see where they're at, but some don't look anywhere near ready from a normal visual inspection. Septoria has hit hard this season though. Not every plant is bad, but there's a few that I'll be cleaning up before they get processed and trimmed up. I went out yesterday and cut off some bud rot areas on some.
