When your grinders get caked....dental instruments work better with SS... or you might smoke some aluminum
This hasn't been cleaned at all, well over a qp of sticky ass buds gone through it since Nov.
Still pretty darned clean other than a few grabby resin spots on the silver ring.
Sometimes it does get a bit grabby from the resin on the inner and outer of the silver ring. An alcohol wipe down would remove it easy if I cared. Lol
Milling plate pretty much self cleans itself.
A quick alcohol wipe would take those grabby spots off.
Another alcohol wipe on the edge of the plate if it bothered me.
It all disassembles easy if and when it's needed to do so. No scraping needed G
I scrape that into a bowl as I'm trimming for a fresh terp taste. 😋😋😋
Makes trimming that much more fun.
Aaaannnd now I want one 😆.

I think for vaping it could possibly make more difference than smoking.
I haven't tried the smaller hole plates yet but they might come in handy for really tight nugs.
The stock plate gets everything to good smokeable texture but I could see some strains with small tight calyxes not being processed fine enough for the more "delicate" process of vaping.
Think of the plate like a vented disc brake.i want it now. I will save up for that SS model on sale.

A drop of hemp oil prevents it and makes the action even smoother.

Our OG mill can be ordered now and will ship on monday.
The Next Gen Mill will not be available until April and is essentially the evolution of the OG with a few kinks worked out. It's definitely worth the wait

Anyway, got on the wait list for gen2, if they'll sell you a Gen 1 take it otherwise it's gonna be a minute.
Since I have the mini too might as well use and review it.
The center looks like 3 seperate pieces press fit together.
Whatever this coating is, it's better than Teflon ™️ or maybe it just is?
I thought it would be tough to get the weed out.
but the storage chamber is shallow enough it doesn't seem like it will be an issue. It's good for half an @OldG J.
Surprised the designs haven't been stolen by their manufacturer yet. Wish they were us made, probably my only gripe with the company other than the "too beautiful for you" blond in a fur coat they have plastered on their advertising.
In all honesty this mini could take care of probably half the people out there and their standard (basically a bigger version) would probably do for 90% of consumers.
There's a few thousandths more differece in the milling plate / fluted drive disc thingy gap. This leaves a little bit of flower trapped in the flute.
It's kinda nice getting that fresh grinder sniff for the 5th time today.
This ones the perfect size, fits in the side pocket of the backpack or a jacket pocket perfectly. And holds a decent amount of weed for a sesh or two.
Too small imho, how you hold that tiny thing? Lol
The action is smooth enough for me to grip both sides like this.
At some point I'll need a 4in+ dia. grip.

Gen 2 arrived today.
They did a good job of making the removal of that thing pretty seamless. The catch basin takes a half turn to remove instead of the quarter turn on the original. The original will occasionally get crossed if not paying attention. Some kind of lower friction ring is new and the flutes feel a little more aggressive in the redesigned layout. The included plate has the same size (visual comparison) holes as the one size up on the original, seeds should generally fit through ok.
More once I give it a shakedown.

Do seeds fit through the screen it comes with. I think I’m gonna get one. Just need to know if seeds will fit through the screen it comes with or should I get one size up.
I'd go one size up, about half to 3/4 make it through. I can feel when the larger seeds are not fitting through and can stop and pull them out before they get shredded and ruin the load. Same as with stems, a pair of tweezers is part of my kit now.

After taking pods off my seeds for the first time, I'm thinking this could be useful lol. I'm a Bass player, I THOUGHT I had good finger strength. My fingers felt like the time I learned an intro to a Cannibal Corpse song....
