Hey i know its like 5 pages back but i was gonna ask, about the whole pH meter thing, Do you find yourself ever drifting far from norm? I used to use one, but after like a year of the same damn results time and time again, i forego it now unless i'm seeing issues, and then just to confirm its not a pH issue. Does your water source require ore rigorous testing on it? Thanks! have a great day dude.

No I'm lucky my tap water has always been 7.1 right out the tap so I usually add two drops of pH down per gallon and that gets me around 6.0 but after buying this cloning machine I felt like I should get a good one

Gotta be careful making assumptions about PH and PPM, especially with powdered nutrients.
I recently mixed a batch of veg nutes that ended up 4X stronger than expected even though it was the same amount of powder (1 tsp).
Turns out the powder had absorbed some water (humidity) and become more dense.
I caught it because I was using weak compost tea as a base and was curious where PH would end up — it was way off!
Then I checked PPM & crapped my pants!
