Enough rain already, lol
Tell me about it, a couple days ago we had some storms, wasn't terrible in town where I live but out at my sisters it got pretty bad. There was a spot on the property that had over a foot of standing water where there's usually none. It blew a 15' white pine tree over that was recently transplanted, so I had to pick it back up and finally got some stakes in and tied it up so the wind can't knock it over. Her drive way is all washed out so I'll have to back drag that with the tractor. She said there was big hail that beat her annuals all to hell. All I could think of was my 9 nice females I have back in the swamp. They definitely took a beating but came out pretty good, just minor leaf damage for the most part, a Kush/Afghani cross was leaning over pretty good, partially from the wind and it's just getting heavy on the buds. One of my homegrown looks like it's main cola got pounded pretty good, hopefully it doesn't get any bad spots from any internal damage I might not see. But I was surprised they didn't look too bad. Must have been why my tops on the guerilla grow in the woods looked a bit beat up. I know her hydrangeas looked great a week ago and now they look really bad. Out in the woods today it was like it just rained all the way up until noon and it hasn't rained in three days, I think. Not out of the ordinary for late September though.

The early stuff like strawbs and garlic did ok.......then it's just been ridiculous. I've been cutting out rot as it shows up on the out side stuff...then fungicide........on a 3 day rain now.
I think my cucumbers drowned....you would think a banner year with all this water but nope.
Oh...the asparagus loves it and strawberries are expanding on their own. Some beds were entirely washed out. Most of that soil resides about 20 ' into the back yard. Said yard fells like a soggy shag rug......slugs everywhere. They love this weather.

I had a beautiful Mendo Express from billy goat seeds go missing ... when I got home one day last month I looked and said to myself, where the fuck did that plant go...I get out back to check for it and it's lying flat in the weeds and there is a big brown rot spot in the base of the stem that just snapped and it had fallen over. Never had anything like that happen in 40 years, but it never rained like it has this entire growing season that I can remember.

It's been hit or miss here; This Spring was REALLY dry, and barely any Morels came up, but then we got to Summer, and.... Honestly we had a bit of draught going for a bit. It's drizzled today, and may for the next few days, but, really, the humidity has been worse than the rain, which isn't uncommon. Been just wet enough to make sure the mosquitoes are keeping me a little more in shape LOL.
