This last round of cloning I went way long in the starters and roots were spiraling pretty good. Thinking these would prevent that transplant shock while allowing me to still procrastinate a couple months. Wondering how it is watering these? Does the water just leak out the sides or do you soak them in a tray?I don't know about his specificly but I've been using these with great success. They come in a few sizes.

Amazon productWould you buy those disposable starter pots again? If so do you have a link?
Put a bunch in a tray and top water. Water will flow out but then get soaked up. Packing them tight together helps the roots spread all throughout the medium instead of just down at the bottomThis last round of cloning I went way long in the starters and roots were spiraling pretty good. This is just the paradox I was imagining, good to know it's manageable. Was kinda thinking of using them as liners in plastic pots (kinda like a coffee filter) until the roots develop, then just pull them out when I want the roots to air prune.Put a bunch in a tray and top water. I do that sometimes using solo cups. It works wellThis is just the paradox I was imagining, good to know it's manageable. Was kinda thinking of using them as liners in plastic pots (kinda like a coffee filter) until the roots develop, then just pull them out when I want the roots to air prune.

I would recommend them. They help reduce transplant shock and I can get away with leaving plants in there for much longer due to root pruning
Roots do grow through the bag. I don’t cut the bottoms, just drop them straight into a bigger containerThey say the roots will grow through the bag but do you still cut the bottoms when transplanting?
