MI Meetup This Summer?

Yo yo! I've been throwing around this idea with a couple peeps here so I thought I'd take it to the board.

My thoughts are that it would be cool to meet up for a Sunday afternoon/evening in the summer in Southern MI (so people from IL, PA, OH, and NY can join, as well as potentially any Canucks that we've got here from Ontario) and have some Detroit-style pizza and shoot the shit for an afternoon. I'm thinking late July, like the 28'th.

Also, feel free to tag other growmies on here if you think they're game for the trip. Flights to Detroit are pretty cheap. Let's try to peer pressure some of the Canucks like @OldG, @Jewels, and @Amarok into coming down!

General ground rules are the same as the board, I think. Steer clear of politics/religion and be generally chill to each other.

In the meantime, how do we feel about Loui's for Detroit style pizza?

There is only one border crossing that I can use, followed by 2 days of walking just to get to Havre. Still puts me a thousand miles away from the party.

My drive to see you in Cowtown was a major expedition for me. I'm afraid the chances of going further are almost nil.

Weed is legal. You can have 2.5 ounces per adult, no card, no nothing.
Mushrooms are legal in multiple areas here
Moonshine is readily available at almost any liquor store.
Only trade off, is you can't have guns with weed or Mushrooms....Somehow the mooonshine + Assault Rifles is legal though LOL.

Exactly the reason I think it should be hosted in MI. Ohio cops and "justice" system are far more aggressive.

(Especially since the college football team at An Ohio State University hasn't beaten Michigan since before covid. )
