PINE TAR KUSH (PTK)

Genetics: Old school Pakistani Landrace from the 80’s
Sourcing: Introduced to NorCal by Tom Hill
Aromas: Pine, earth, wood, green apple, citrus, cream
Effects: Calming but not narcotic
Flowering: 7-8 weeks in natural outdoor environment
Characteristics: Very resinous. Big leaves and thick stems.
Grow type: Outdoor, indoor, greenhouse
Also going by the name of PTK. This is a pure Pakistani line from the 80’s introduced in the North of California through the world famous Tom Hill. This plant is recognized to be an old school Pakistani plant for its aroma and its way of forming the resin.
This line surprises us in its vegetative stage for the thickness of its stems and the width of its three and five folioles in most cases. During its vegetative stage it forms few side branches and the intermodal spaces are short. The colour of these plants is of a light yellowish olive and some other plants display a darker type of green. The darker plants are thicker and bigger.
During this vegetative stage which lasts between six and eight weeks, it forms an abundant and lush foliage. The flowering cycle lasts between seven and eight weeks. During the flowering cycle it forms thick and resinous floral clusters, some showing resin up to their outer leaves . Its calyxes are big and are one close to another forming beautiful rock-hard nugs that emanate a smell of earth, wood, pine, green apple and citrusy cream.
The effect that you will get is calming without being narcotic. It has a long lasting sweet and creamy taste on the palate.

I have a pack of 10. The upcoming full moon they are getting soaked and i will do a preservation in a tent.

I have had requests for what i find to be the best gut meds, and PTK is right up there.

Natures gut meds.

With a total terpene content of 2.7%, the top terpenes are beta-myrcene, trans-caryophyllene, alpha-Pinene, ocimene, and alpha-humulene.

I am going to do a preservation of 10 seeds from The Landrace Team. Tom Hill Pine Tar Kush.

Seeds are soaking Sep 20. Lets get this preservation originating shall we.

I would probably never have even considered doing something like this...except this is PHENOHUNTERS.

And I have been very blessed with the friendships i have made here. I am so very happy to give back. I think it is how weed should be.

When you have a need...or a med condition..some dude says hey man...i got the seeds that help me...and BOOM...that is a community.

I can't wait to contribute. And for real these are the strains the really help me live an almost normal life...normal and very very high.

And i will breed strains to that endeavor from now on. I want to find the best gut meds...for me and for every person suffering from gut problems. And after these landrace preservations i think i want to delve deeper into adding the missing terp..s...

Life with purpose is most wonderful...i found one.

@OldG, I remember listening to Madd Farmer talking about cultivars that help him the most, the purples specifically Purple Urkle and Lavander. Here is the link to the potcast.

I just received some PTK from new420 and would love to run them along side your grow if you don't mind. Not sure if they can be included in the preservation run yet. Paul said one of his crew acquired the Tom Hill seeds and did an increase with them but unfortunately he has since passed over so no more info is available.

Love your passion mate, there is nothing better than growing plants for meds.

This is good stuffs @OldG ~, and @Ed Rooney for sure, run those beans side by side, I do not think the community would have a problem having them as part of the preservation. We will just note them with what information we have, and see what phenotypes the genome expresses n different environments. Who knows there could be some good differences, and a combo of them in the future could be quite unique, by phenohunters 4 phenohunters.
