I'm hoping to get some feedback/opinions on where people think the best possible location to grow in the U.S. is, only factors considered are factors that directly influence the health/yield of the plant. To make it a level playing field, this is hypothetically based on a grow, from seed to harvest, no nutrients, no fancy soils. Just seed, in the natural soil only receiving water when necessary.

Please do not factor things like local laws, ect as these are subject to change.

Ok, so no go on TN then. Cali is so effin expensive tho, I'm a broke bitch, where's the cheap...good land at lol
Land was cheap here in tn..But the laws here are not worth the risk... to the weather and bug's and etc...

You can find cheap land in states around me and be Better off.... if the reason to move is to grow then tn isn't really the place for just straight outdoors in the sun...

Now don't get me wrong tn isn't a bad place to live.. but it Sucks to grow outside....

And Honestly the price of land has doubled in my area in just 3 yrs so it's Really not that Cheap anymore...

Unfortunately most of the states with the laxest laws are also high cost of living. Maine is a popular spot because land is cheap and they don't give AF but the growing season is really short so you have to cater your strains to it.

Ive heard Oklahoma is a popular spot for the relatively cheap land and mild winters (by New England standards anyways).

But basically I'm just gonna say good luck lol. Unfortunately land prices are the highest they've been in years right now. Nothing seems cheap anymore.

If you can handle the winter's gmc is on point about Maine..
There's still land there for a grand a acre..
I seen a 135 ac for 125 grand
And it's a beautiful state... you got the ocean, mountains, poutine... really everything you could need. But man it gets cold up there.

I used to live in northern VT which is similar but trendy now for escaping New Yorkers so not so cheap anymore. But I have pictures of my beard just sheeted in ice from my own breath just from walking to the corner store. When that negative 30 degree air gets into your lungs it's a feeling...

40 yrs ago this sunny so cal native had to go to Chicago for work: in Feb. -87 wind chill. The first couple days there every 5 minutes on the TV or raido "Don't go outside for more than 5 minutes." WTF is that? Who does that? I get to O'Hara walk out the double doors to find a cab and it hit me. Again, WTF? I got on a heavy jacket but no thermos. Holyvshit Batman, WTF??? I can laugh now but I'd never been that cold. I went back in the airport opened up my suitcase and put on everything I brought. The nightmare cab ride at 95 mph on frozen highway is another story. Seriously, WTF?
