Hey guys. Decided to move my grow logs over here. Some of you might know me from RIU, going by the handle smokebros since 2009. I've decided to keep with my IG tag Ricky_Simples for this forum, feel free to call me Rick.

My methods of cultivation are:

• Tents. I grow perpetually in a 2x4 and 4x4 tent. I use an additional 2x4 tent for drying. All tents have AC Infinity 4'' fan & controllers, all tents have their own Phresh filter.
• Lighting is all LED. Four Quantum Boards in the 4x4. One Kingbrite and one DIY in the 2x4.
• Nutrition - Jacks 321. I also use Orca @ .6ML per gallon and Carefree Enzymes #95562. I use RO water. DIY drip system. Canna cooco is my go-to medium.
• Genetics - I run mostly feminized genetics. I'm a gas chaser so I have a spot spot for OG's. Soon I'll be running some Farmer Freeman sex tests so I can dive into some regular beans and keep my perpetual schedule.

Wifi 43 x Aliendog Cherry I just finished up last month. Bred by OBS. This one is gassy with some peppery spice.



Crescendo RBX1. Should have kept this pheno. She's frosty as can be. Currently in my dry tent, getting trimmed up tomorrow.



Wifi 43 x Aliendog Cherry again, different phenotype. This one just like to foxtail. She's getting the axe this week.



99 Cherries I harvested last month. Bred by Bigwork6969, this one is Spartan Kush x Dirtly Little Secret.

Here's another phenotype of the Wifi 43 x Aliendog Cherry. Overall just a big fan of this strain.


Both 99 Cherries were showing some beautiful colors a few weeks before getting chopped.

Took down the last two plants in the 4x4. There was a GDP and Wifi 43 x Aliendog Cherry. I'll need to clean out the tent and give the tray a good scrub before I do anything. Eventually the ladies that are currently in the 2x4 will hop over to the 4x4 to flower out. I'll make sure to take cuts before flipping.

The Crescendo RBX1 I just dried is legit AF. One of the frostiest strains I've ever grown or seen. Real strong gassy peach smell on her to, just like the other Crescendos I grew out last year.

Here's a couple photo of that Crescendo I posted the other day. Got it all trimmed up last night and ready for long term storage.

Hey phenohunters, it's garden update time. There's been a lot of turbulence in the garden these past three weeks. I'm in the middle of resetting the 4x4 flower tent and preparing it for plants to flip this weekend. I've got a few ladies drying up in the 2x4 drying tent and they should be ready to come off the hangers this weekend.

The 2x4 veg tent has been giving me some issues but I think I've got it figured out now. I started watering the seedlings with too strong of a nutrient recipe and caused them to get a Mg lockout. Leaves were dying, growth was slow, and the plants were just off. They weren't happy. I decided to flush them with RO water a few days ago, and it made an enormous difference.

That root zone just had too much bullshit in there and that was causing slow development. So after running a gallon of RO through each container, I let them sit for a day before the drippers came on again with a 1.8 EC and 6.0 PH blend. I'm not even kidding that everything in that environment was (and remains) dialed. 80 degrees F, 70% RH, and water inputs were 1.8 EC and 6.0PH. Problem was the seedlings weren't big enough to handle that. So moving forward I'll be running seedlings at 1/3 - 1/2 strength for the first week or two when using Jacks 321, but once that root zone gets established it'll get bumped back up to 100% strength.

Here's a couple photos I snapped this morning, 23 days from seed. You can still see striations on the leaves. The plants looked like shit two days ago, but they look a lot better now - still far from where I'd have preferred they be, but not the end of the world. I topped them a couple days ago as well so hopefully they bush out a bit more in the coming days.





I was going to clone these plants for the next run, but due to the mistakes I made early on I won't be doing that anymore - I only like taking clones from really healthy plants. So in a couple weeks when it's time to start the next batch of plants, I'll probably start my Slurricane vs Slurricane grow. I've got a pack of IHG's Slurricane, and Archive's as well. Might as well run two of each next to each other and see what comes of it.

You make a strong case my friend. I think I'll give em until Sunday and see if they have enough shoots to cut off and clone. I'd hate to end up in another situation like I just did, where I crew out some fire Crescendo and didn't keep a cut.

When lights come on later this afternoon I can get some close pics of them if you'd like.
But this was the difference after 3 days.
The donor plant, all kinds of defs etc. She's been like this since a week after transfer into this soil.
Like 2 months ago. Lol. She was healthy as heck before that.

And the 3 day old cuts. Greening back up and happy as a cut can be. Lol.
They're in a mini Sip using coco, and a light cal mag solution in the water res.

They look like they are making a nice recovery and sounds like you've got a good plan with backing off the nutes on younger plants.

I'm definitely interested to see your Slurricane side by side. I picked up a pack of Slurricane F1 regs from Archive when he first dropped them. Could only get 1 pack at the time. But just the other day I found a bank selling off some of the Archive Slurricane F1 Fems, so I was able to cop 2 packs of those. Hoping between the 3 packs to find something worth keeping and potentially making F2s.
