Question Servers always slow 4 me?

Being I’m limited to a jet pack hotspot and cellphone , my limit is 600kbps on average . Your website even with chat disabled seems to be slow (speed wise )and i have real hard time looking through the threads and exp ones with pictures . Most discussion it’s no where as bad as this not trying to sound negative , i def noticed on your board it’s a crawl .


anyways figured I could put that out there as my first experiences

My guess is its not the server. Its just the slow internet connection. There is a ton of content that needs to be loaded, that would def seem slow over 600kbps... The solution would be a mobile version tailored to slower connections, with less content, but then you will miss out on all the bud porn...

I agree with this. Even if you're rated at 600kbps it is typically even slower than this given the overhead on your end as well; it is a MAX speed/bandwidth rating, and not guaranteed to perform at that speed all the time if ever. If this is a 600kbps rating on download speeds, then the response time with upload speeds will be well below that. The upload speeds are are a part of your latency, so you will see a lag in response times when communicating with the server. If you figure that each photo is at least 500kb, and typically more like 1.5MB, that 600kbps maxed out will choke if you go on a page that has multiple hi-res photos. If your connection is shared with others in the household, it diminishes that speed exponentially.
