The Tiny Tent

My 3x3 tent once I use up about 16in. to accommodate my reservoir takes some of that room up to control the plant I made a scrog which merrily is just a way to convert upward growth into sideways growth which allows you to utilize the tent wall-to-wall it really turns unruly plants to your advantage in my 3x3 tents I do single plants with a 24 x 24 scrog but the scrog can be used for multiple plants as well at some point I'm wanting a tent like yours for my 200w. light I know you've seen my tents but these are an early example of the scrog & later after it has filled in 20200916_111533.jpg 20200916_112205.jpg

The only possible "issue" I see is you cheating yourself of some airflow, with that 180 degree turn between the filter and exhaust fan... But maybe you're intentionally cutting down flow? Whatever works for your setup, I say... And it looks like things are working just fine for you!

Nothing goofy about it at all. I only asked because you seemed unsure and thought we might be able to collectively help out.

Ive always hung my filter and fan combo from the back rail with straps. Use as little ducting as possible and try an avoid bends, if you can. I use a fan speed controller as well, to reduce flow and noise some.

@spondylogrow Here's the tent gear. I'm afraid to post it in case it's a goofy set-up. View attachment 27433 ??
Well it looks like you are producing good flower right now with the height restriction. If it were me i would just pull one of the lights and call it a veg tent or clone tent. Cant say for sure from the picture but it looks like the light support wires could be shortened up quite a bit to gain some additional height. That 90 is cutting the air flow some but probably not a big factor at all. Looks like you have your filter set up for a single pass rating which is only around 50% of the CFM rating on the filter. Example of what i am saying would be if your filter has a 400 CFM rating you can only pull or push around 200 CFM for it to effectively remove the smell with a single pass rating.

Hi, I would have put them side by side but the components were wider than the 28" width. I should have bought a thinner fan for better fit but I didn't know any more than to make sure they were both 4". I think I'll try and move the fan to the top of my tent, that will clear up a lot of room to shorten my lights.

@capt.C I can only have one tent, this one is actually in my dining room. I could replace it and fit a 3x3 in there. :ROFLMAO: The young guys that came to put in new HVAC this year could not talk to me without their eyes wandering over to the black box. I never appeared to notice, and it was killing them to remain professional and not ask. It was a good day.

I thought you were talking about getting another tent. Seems like the longer you grow the more rooms you need. While you can get away with just one tent ( you are certainly proof of that) it just makes it so much easier with more than one for the different stages of growth. Also looking at the crop you have hanging not sure i would change anything.

@horribleherk It is a 4" Vivosun filter. It works very well, I removed the outer cloth and washed it, but never put it back on because it's so hard to get to it! It worked better with the outer cloth filter. Of course, I'm only growing fruity and pretty smelling strains. No skunk bean has crossed my threshold.
I'm gonna look into the 6in. version I have 3 vivosun fans & find them to be a good value for the dollar would of really liked to see the expression on the HVAC guys face that day lol
