Anyone have the basically overlooked and not talked about strains that are absolutely pure fire and pretty damn unique?? For example...Man I love KC BRAINS..One of the first strains I grew many years ago was Bahia Blackhead..One pheno has giant leaves of dark purple almost black.Raw ass fire...I used that plant in one of my first chucks..I ordered two packs last year again.. I swear picking a keeper female is usually easy..well not this time..I didn't keep any..I bred every backup clone to a HSO bubba Kush..(Didn't keep any males ) I'll be Getting a few more packs for a male search to take back to that cross..Also ran a pack of his double D my uncle gave me..Looks Top notch smells astringent bubblegum grease ? (curing two months now..havent tried it)Another honerable mention I have is Nirvana Aurora Indica..Found a sativa leaner..took it to f2 and hit her with mandala 8 mile f4 ..To be continued.....Moving on with these newer bad ass genetics I still see these unknowns absolutely smoking alot of the newer stuff..That Aurora f2 was straight greasy hard golfballs..It REAKS..Like weird rotten pineapple playdough..And I'm just getting started..The best is yet to come out of cross

That's for sure..I have some random packs I've had for years..One being Nirvana Pure power plant..Thinking about some of the plants I've found in cheaper seeds ( more affordable I should say) making my sativa loving side want to just take a peak at them...Ya never know what is truly in them packs regardless of price or breeder untill ya look.. especially the overlooked and not even talked about strains...and usually when they are talked about it's bashing...Crazy imo..Hell one of the most potent strains I've grown to date was a Nirvana black jack called her salami..smelled like a damn piece of salami being jammed up your nostrils..It was a big hit back then for me.. And that was 10 years ago..She's tucked away in the seed collection if I ever want to revisit

Also speaking of older genetics what's everyone's method of storing seeds....I label mine put them in small plastic containers and have a one gallon glass jar with my seeds submerged in rice and the jar lives in the refrigerator...I can pull out seeds from way way back and germinate them like fresh ones

One very tasty strain from kc brain that I have tried was his Mind Bender. Up until I found Mango Tango, it was the best mango tasting strain I had ever tried. When they open the jar at the dispo, I lost my shit lol. Rotting funky mango perfume. Amazing. Have tried to find seeds but something always come up.

I have two packs of KC BRAINS mango free for the taking...I bought four packs..ran two..It was really nice plants and smelled Mango ish but the buzz was extremely depressing to me..didn't lack potency just instantly had me running for my staple...8 mile high. My daughter got quite a bit free Mango and absolutely loved it..Best weed I've had in awhile she said. Blaaaa

Black Mamba was one, and it actually looked really dark. I don't remember much about that one, but:

Fucking Incredible; the name was surprisingly accurate lol. I barely remember anything about it outside of it being really good, but I never saw that again.

A buddy of mine told me once how he literally was too stoned to drive after smoking "African Butt Hair".... have not ever seen it but he's a fellow grower and, for him to be too high to drive lol, I'd smoke it.

I also once had what I was told was "Orange Kush" and its like the only time I've ever had a strain smell like oranges. It was really good but, again, I never saw it again.

It's always nice to be able to help out and coach new growers with free beans thru a couple grows with seeds your familiar with tho..Got a few younger guys running beans of random things I've crossed..and gotten back a couple clones of some nice phenos.. so them crosses were not completely for nothing....at least in my mind..otherwise they probably would just sit in the fridge

Alot of the older strains get tossed aside due to the insane skills of the breeders we have amongst us today..But that fire still lies within some hidden packs that may never be touched again..Im guilty of it myself..I have crosses that I doubt will ever be touched. It's hard enough to decide what to pop next with all the newer stuff I have on deck! And seeing the phenos that's coming from this site alone...SMH....Seems I'll have just as many new packs as I do older crosses and older packs ...won't be long

I know what you mean; This is currently my 4th time growing, but I read a lot, and I like to experiment, and a lot of people here have sent me beans that are actually proper! My first grow was a single clone of Blue Cheese I got, and helped take care of the Wife's Sunshine clone, and then the next year I had two Blue Cheese Clones, and was given 3 Detroit Lemonade clones, a Skywalker clone, and two Motor Breath clones. Last year I used the seeds I got from the buds of those to start up most of my plants, and a single surviving bag seed Strawberry Diesel, and a single bag seed Hawaiian Sunshine, and then was given a clone of Cactido, and a clone of Bubblegum. Most of my grows have been clones and or bagseed, but now I've got like none hermie seeds to grow for the first time ever LOL.

My collection has grown a lot, and I had to skip growing some of the usual to make room for the Chem and Cheese crosses I have now, so I'm not growing Cactido, or Bubblegum, or Strawberry Diesel this year, as I had to make room. I'm looking forward to actually seeing these Fiona's Chem Cake and Black Lime Special Reserve F5s..... And sooooo many Cheese strains!

I could name my tent the gas powered Unicorn Stable and it'd be pretty descriptive LOL! I could also change my signature to Gas powered Unicorn Rider at this point though too haha. I know personally I'm super excited to get to try these new strains; As you said the breeders here that are doing their own stuff.... I'm honored to get to talk too, it's nuts the skill level here. Don't let it go to your heads.... LOL.

Red sent me some Sin City Juice which is one of the parents to it and I've got two seedlings of that going right now! I'm guessing it'll be straight fire too.

I've been shying away from breeding because I'm OCD and I worry about pollen getting out, but now that we have a small tent that fits in the bedroom...... bro..... I can flower out a Male in January when it's not gonna matter... lol I'll need to learn about storing pollen but I'm thinking my OCD will chill if I'm using a paint brush to dust buds.

Then again the headline "500 new Cheese and Chemdog crosses released"... lol and then again yet again if I like it and I'm not trying to own a mansion and 12 cars and instead want a log cabin in the woods and 2 pounds of Cheese a day, I don't really have to worry about it being sold at "the cookies" or whatever that place is lol. I have ideas and an obsession with the smells and I do kind of wonder what I could come up with. At the very least I'd be high as balls and making our community laugh; either from idiot mistakes as a virgin chucker, (at least I won't have to worry about putting it in the wrong hole haha) though, I would prefer to be the community comedian wayyyyyyy more than the village idiot. But yeah, that thought has been bouncing around a lot recently, and my curiosity can be worse than a Cat's lol.

I do exactly the same, right down to the rice. I have done it that way 20+ years.

I don't know if I'd sleep with that in there haha! I'd roll over and be like "Ohhh!" and wake up.... Haha. Because of recent developments on this site, I think my first cross of some form of Chem and some type of Cheese would have to be called Unicorn or something though LOL.

I do finally have some non hermie beans of Blue Cheese, and I have Chocolate Cheese and Cheesing going too, but the Chem D that I've been babbling on about for months I only have my bagseed sadly. But I'm OK with that for now (At least until December when I start reminding myself the Catfish don't bite around here then, and there's nothing to grow outside then either) at which point I may have to track down some proper seeds of it. Hopefully I can do that and pop enough to find the same pheno I have now because..... Bro the Chem D I have started from two clones, and then last year I started a seedling from the seeds I found in the bud (You know it's some fire when you're happy to see seeds in the buds LOL) and it started out with a straight burnt Rubber smell, and stayed that way for a while. After some curing it started having a slight Pine-Sol sort of smell, and now, it's like barely burnt rubber and mostly a .... Lemon Pledge sort of thing maybe ? It's really good though. I have 2 or 3 of the hermie seeds going right now. I may not want to breed with hermie seeds, but I'll sure grow it out and smoke it again Haha.

I just dropped in the soil yesterday 11 Doc Ds Dagobah which is Chem D x A5/Thai backcross....This cross in my mind is brilliant! And checks every box..Can't wait to see the Black lime reserve...Nice!
