thinking about doing reg's thoughts on this ? -- going to start seeds with the flower light spectrum for faster sex indentification
There may be some different timing of sex showing from a flowering spectrum, but I didn't notice any difference when I tried that experiment.
Only one run at it to see what I'd see. Lol.
Tried it with 5 plants in 2 liter pots, all the same seed stock, and sprouted at the same time, with similar growth rate and size.
Ran them in a 1x3 little grow box I made using SIL lighting.
Had different spec bulbs, for a total of 4 of them, one for each plant except the middle so as not to have overlap of spectrums.
With the two on the left getting 2700k, the two on the right getting 5000k, and the middle plant getting both, with no bulb above it. They all showed about the same time, within a day of each other. The red spec plants being slightly taller, and the middle plant being wandery & a little stretchy to both sides.
