Video Games?

So who do we have for gamers here and what do you like to play? Weed and video games go together like bread and butter, my favorite past time is getting baked and picking up a controller.

I just bought Assassin's Creed Mirage but haven't gotten far. A tad boring but so wasn't AC Valhalla, it took me over a year to actually play it but when I finally did I enjoyed it. I just beat Dead Island 2, I thoroughly enjoyed it but wished the game was longer.

I have a PS4, eventually I'll grab a PS5 but for right now it isn't a necessity.

I used to play a lot of these:

DooM
Quake
Unreal Tournament
Huge fan of the FPS games from id Software. I haven't played any in a while, mainly because most of my computers are sitting at my Mom's house. I currently don't have the room / space I need for setting it up.

Used to play alot of the Elder Scrolls games, nowadays I play civilization 6. Games addicting, lol, gf gets bothered by it when I play for hrs at a shot. Lol
This is my shit right here lol. Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Civ 6, though not as much lately. Usually winter is my gaming time.

My PS4 crapped out so I caved and got the Spider Man 2 edition PS5 for me and my son recently though. Been playing some Diablo 4 and am eying Baldurs Gate 3. And even though Im not a big Call of Duty fan myself I have some friends that play, and gaming with my idiot friends makes any game fun, so Ive been rocking some Modern Warfare here and there. Im so unbelievably bad at it though lol

Also PGA2K23 haha. Im not a golf person at all but for some reason I find it really relaxing to putt in a video game

At least you get to play, my last relationship I couldn't play video games at all because she always had to have my undivided attention.. That didn't last long if you can imagine!

The only game out of those I played was the Fallout series, I loved Fallout 4! This new Fallout game out is straight garbage though

The new Zelda games are pretty fun. I've only played Breath of the Wild so far, but I'll definitely be picking up Tears of the Kingdom eventually.

I play a few PVP games as well, but my internet's pretty bad out here so I don't always get a decent connection.

I used to play COD, and had a lot of fun just running around with only throwing knives and the scavenger perk. The perk that amplifies footsteps really helped as well, especially with audiophile headphones with a good soundstage. Every now and then I'd get some salty kid calling me a sound whore :ROFLMAO:.

Still rockin GTA on Xbox One

I also love Red Dead 2, the scenery is BEAUTIFUL. Sometimes I'll just travel around and marvel at the graphics or go fishing

Oh and if anyone wants to do time attack challenges on Forza 5, holler @ ur boy 😉. I've been driving my real life vehicle on the Nurburgring in-game to see what kind of times I can get

My 9yr old thinks he's good at mortal combat. I have to politely (lmao) kick his azz with any character. I mean, STOMP!!! My wife won't play with me any longer. I beat ninja giaden in 3 days while recovering from knee surgery. I'm still rocking a ps3. My son has a nintendo switch oled and has quite a few games.

I totally lol'd at this because it reminded me of several years ago on yootube there was a recording of a 9 yr. old guy on Xboxlive that had gotten banned by a notorious mod known as The Pro, kids rant was epic. Told The Pro he was going to fuck his gramma so hard she'd fly out the window. Adorable, right ?

All my action is on PC playing strategy WW2 games, has been for a long time. I like the glacial pace and lower intensity, which also works well with my country internet.
Before those it was board games like Axis & Allies etc. I've always been one of those guys out to "prove" within the framework of the game anyway, that the Axis could have won.

A couple of years ago I started playing Hearts of Iron 3, and damn I love that game. I've been playing these for years and that game has everything I would put in a game and nothing I wouldn't. It's got layers of complexity I haven't even gone near to yet. I start playing in November after my grow is trimmed out and my place is squared away for the winter, and that's about all I do until like March.

Good move starting this thread Smoke, I had wondered if there was a gaming thread. I plan to start a thread for my HOI3 winter campaign 2023 where I could post after action reports and maybe the occasional screen shot.

Wolfenstein was awesome too. Also, I forgot to add League of Legends in.... I liked that a lot too, but haven't played in a few years now.

Back in the day it was all about Mario and the first two Zelda Games, which were good too. I don't have anything newer, and my last game console, was a Wii. Before that I did have a Sega Saturn for a long time, with Bug and like Panzer Dragoon II, which was cool.

I liked the Kirby's Dream Land for Gameboy back in the day, but I don't need that game, I can do his move at any given Popeye's.

I DID have an oldschool version of Magic: The Gathering on PC. It had a lot of quest stuff and you had the beat the 5 Wizards of each color. That was pretty good too, but the original DooM Games, are pretty high on my list of favorites.

My cousin played FPS and Strategy games like, professionally for a while, but he wouldn't play me in Unreal Tournament, because I kinda rock at that game.

My 6 year old step son used to kick my ass in Smash Bros on the Wii, he played that game so much he got really great at it.

Speaking of the PS3 I had one for a long time before I upgraded to the PS4. There were so many games in the PS3 library that I hadn't played yet that I couldn't justify buying a new system until I played all those old games. Plus they were dirt cheap for being out for so many years. I only finally bought the PS4 when I got a good deal on it.

Alpt of game systems are backwards-compatable. I can play ps1, ps2 games on my ps3. If you have a ps4 or ps5, you should be able to play all the prior model games.

Also, does anyone remember the Easter egg on the ps1? You can have it play (visually) psychedelic stuff on the screen/monitor. We used to throw rave parties, and we linked up a ps1 to a few wcreens for the visual effects.

It actually depends in the graphic engine and software compatability. Its a ton of work to get old games to work on new equipment, sometimes even the new processing is just too fast. Ive tried to fire up old PC games and found them unplayable on new systems because all the controls are too sensitive. Like you cant pan the screen slow enough lol

So with the PS5, everything from PS4 is compatible, but only some PS3 (and a lot of it is streaming only) and pretty much nothing older than that.

Man those RTS were fun back in the day

command and conquer , age of empire , stronghold , rollercoaster tycoon , StarCraft & STAR WARS Galactic Battlegrounds

its crazy how that gaming genre kinda died out , god I wish they would run on modern pc. They did remaster the red alert and stronghold is comming out soon. Wish on stronghold they would have went to crusader extreme as remastered too cause that’s def my favorite or hurts revenge instead of doing the first red alert? Come on they only got better lol
