Water/nute rotation

While filling my water jug this morning I kinda had a light bulb turn on. So I feed nutes till runoff then next water I water to runoff then back to nutes till runoff. So on my water cycle it seems silly to water till runoff I'm running all the damn nutes out of it....or is this not necessarily true?

The point of watering until runoff is to pull some of the salts out so they don't build up in the medium and cause nutrient lockout. But, I just realized this is in the organic nutrients section, so I don't believe you need to feed or water until runoff. I use dry organic amendments, feed my plants a tea once a week made from those, top dress with them every now and then, but I haven't watered or fed until runoff at all since I switched to this method. The only time I water until runoff is when I setup my Blumat system so I can saturate the soil as a starting point for the carrots to go off of.

It depends on your set, Are you running coco? Soil? Organic? Synthetic nutes? Need more information.

K thats a good mix promix hp i assume, fox farms trio sadly only 1 of those is organic the others are synthetic, so when watering with those just water till you start to see it come out of the bottom of the bot then stop, OVER watering in soil with those an that mix is not needed imho.

Just water till it comes out so you know you watered the whole pot.

FF is pretty forgiving stuff and even most plants can take pretty heavy feedings of it without issue.

I would encourage you to look into different nutes next grow tho, ff is really over priced for what you get.

Awesome input, first grow I was around 700ppm all feedings now I'm doing 1000. My outdoor im wanting to go solid nutes fucking always seems to rain right after I feed them lol. Have not fed that high yet but was going to in flower. Been working them up around 500ppm veg there still small and first run i about killed everything with nitrogen. It was a combination of things though. Any preference on a decent priced line? I will be soil for good may dable in hydro one day.

I can tell ya what I run, So for a high slow release nitrogen i go with a fish emulsion, Alaskan 5-1-1 is my brand, For an all around NPK I like to go with Medina Hasta Gro 6-12-6, I also use a bloom high acid Liquinox 0-10-10, I also use TPS silica gold. Gotta keep those arms strong!

Well by the sounds of everything I've been under feeding and washing out anything I put in the soil....one good perk less water per watering lol. Also I use cal mag due to using ro becuase of my ultra hard water. Kinda been using 1/4 my well water and 3/4 ro puts me around 150ppm. Sooo not sure since it's not exactly all good micronutrients, where as cal mag I know.

Cal mag is good, jsut follow the instructions on the bottle no real need to check TDS with soil let the microbes get fed and do there job

Stoned.. forgot to mention, if you have a shop vac just reuse the water that gets on the floor outside in your garden win win for recycling water!

I use trays, dump in a bucket and then dump on the flowers outside, win win lol.
