How long does your concentrate stay stable? Or do you go through it fast enough it isn't an issue?

I can't really say 100% how long it would last. For me, the 3 gallon of concentrate will do 1 grow round with both flower tents running plus whatever is in veg at the time...........and still be consistent ppm wise. When I do the next round I mix up a new batch.
With this method, the gravel is important. Without it, the concentate can be a little "milky" when you get to the bottom of the jug and skew your ppm #'s.

I usually grow "semi-organic" in containers w/amended soil + Mills nutrients.
Synthetic nutes hit the spot when plants are young, then they finish flowering with plain water.
Today I’ve got a dozen plants in dollar store buckets that need to go into 10-gallon bags…

I don't know if this is a viable alternative to your "gravel."
I bought each of these paint mixers for my drill.
The skinny mixer is a perfect fit for the opening of my 3-gallon water jugs, which are similar to the typical 5-gallon water jugs you use in a water dispenser.
The fat mixer I use when I use a 3-1/2 or 5-gallon bucket for mixing.
When I use the skinny one, it is a tight fit. So, as I am pulling it out of the jug, I make sure to get a good grip on the head, just in case the Chinese glue gives out and that head drops to the bottom of the jug, never to be gotten out. : )
Another way to say it is to imagine that you are helping pull a baby out during delivery. : )

You can always add Sodium Benzoate as a preservative as I do.
Don't trust my formula, because I only make a liter of concentrate at a time.
Using it with gallons or 3 gallons, I would want to confirm the right ratio.

I got my kit out to see what I did last year. I had 10-52-10 and 2-15-15 for flowering and alternated them, but never gave the full dose of the 52 P. That went pretty well but I think I'll probably need to find a trace formula, I only pee just so much lol. And, the SA Power Pak I was using was 20-20-20 not 30----.

My plan for the next garden is slightly different from Greengenes's. He stays all Jack's for his Veg and Flower mix. I've come up with a similar but different path.
For Veg, I will run Jack's newer definition of 3-2-1 per gallon (3.79g of 5-12-26) + (2.52g of 15-0-0) + ( 1.00 Epsom). This keeps Nitrogen near 150 elemental ppm—estimated E.C. 1894.
I switched it up for Flower. I will use Jack's NEW Alternate Part A, 0-12-26, to remove the Nitrogen from Part A and compensate for it with my Part B. By doing this, I can drop N down to about 100 elemental ppm but raise CA from 119 to 140 elemental PPM.
I use Custom Hydros Part B, which is low in N but has a higher percentage of Ca. The recipe looks like this: Jack's New Part A 0-5-26 option (3.8g (A) Jack's New Part A 0-5-26 option) + (2.9g Custom Hydro Part B 13-0-0) + (1.00g Epsom) -- estimated E.C. 1823.
Of course, everything is subject to change. : )

Nope, those are neat but adding a mixing bit and a drill to the equation is not for me.
The gravel works and it's simple. Never wears out, never needs a charge, so far it's lasted 4 years. Probably got a few years left on it

Osmocote works, but I would still use some compost with it.

Everything gets compost....well until I run out. I used 40 gallons on my tomatos....still have another20 in one can and 40-60 on the ground (needs sifting)
All these containers I'm testing it in are holding 90% old grow soil and 10% compost. Basically miracle grow potting soil and Pro-mix......dumped and cover cropped, over wintered outside. I'm not sure how potent a soil it is so the compost and then the osmocote should cover it. I'm reaching the end of my soil supply now. Also running short on pots!

do you use any Silica products?
