A Shed With A Valley View 2026

Did some pruning and dropped a net over them a couple days ago.

The need for silica was made obvious when installing the net. Recovery was slow. I reduced the feed duration to 2 min and duration to 2.5 hrs, giving one additional daytime feeding. I'm close to dialing it in, maybe a bit on the overwatered side but I am increasing temps slightly so we'll see how they react. Thinking next round will be a single plant, these only vegged for 3 weeks in here while I was learning the basics too. Still learning.
Grow genius is 40 percent mono sililcic acid. It is the highest percentage available professionally or commercially for Cannabis cultivation it's drench rate of application is .3 ml per 10 ltrs water. 1ml treats 8 gallons for drench. I use at .5 ml per gallon foilar sprayed. It is 1 of my 2 I can not grow without amendments.

Hey @Chefdave what's your other can't go without ammendment?

Its Deep breath from Humboldts own. I use it foilar 3x a week at 5ml/g with Mr fulvic(4.5%) at 2.5ml/g from germination till day 21 of flower. This combo is very economical when used as foilar( very expensive as drench!! Don't recommend!!) and highly effective. The deep breath has tricontinol and monofloral honey, it supercharges veg times. It really works and has no chemical pgrs if anyone was wondering. Other amendments I use are ryzofuel, which I like better than roots excellerator gold, Moab, billions or recharge and raw enzymes

I haven't tried nearly as much as others but 1 thing I do like and is cheap is the 5:2 blend of kelp/humic from kelp4less I don't remember what university published the study but that ratio was optimal

Thanks Dave. Foliars are just a pita, and tough for me to justify as a hobbyist. Dosen't take away from their efficacy but it's a tool that has migrated to the bottom of my toolbox. Even ipm at the scale I'm at I can often mix a pint and have half left over, mixing less than a pint gets tough when the mix rates are low.

Virginia Tech?

Notes - 70% mix 2.4ec for flower, using 70% in veg too but not pH`ing or checking ec. I added RAW silica to veg (they sent some sample pacs).

8 weeks tomorrow. The one on the left has more amber trichs and the one on the right has more receeded pistils. Both are pretty much done, water uptake dropped off a week ago. They did get some salts a couple times later in flower.

I'm so jealous. Seems like everyone on here has green stuff popping outside, even up in the mountains. Nothing green out here but the pines and cedars.

Sure is a lot of them there, you throw some down or is it all from a plant dropping seeds?

Those were thrown down last fall, Afgaan90 x GorillaBubble mostly, a few odds 'n ends from other chucks might be there. Maybe 15-20 of the GB f2s from the other 3 females, can't recall exactly what else might be there.

Far right is clones and copies of the first 4, the rest are uncloned.

I've found a pair in the first 4, good phenotypic match I think, we'll go through them all outdoors just in case.

I moved the Funeral Cookies into the 2x2 and flipped to flower on Sunday.

A pair, even though they are from the first 4 plants. Always thought it was "don't lick a gift horse in the mouth"; "look" dosen't make any more sense...

Might be the pair.

Eliminated (structure, lack of branching) sour terps, woulda been nice to flower I think

On the block for structure -

No.'s 1 and 4 were also culled for structure and lack of vigor respectively. No.1 had sour terps, I'm looking for more chocolatey/earthy.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth makes way more sense to me, I'd never lick a horse anywhere for any reason.

Meaning, if someone gives you a horse don't go looking for problems with it, could be a prefect looking animal and some will nitpick, look in its mouth, oh it doesn't take a bit well, blah, blah. Goes for any gift really.

Getting some slight tip burn still at 70% so I've been diluting from 2.6 ec to ~2.3 ec still needs to come down a little more I think but I wanna fine tune the watering schedule first. Feed chart is calling for an increase this week, don't think thats happening.

Straight cycle time is working fine but it leaves something to be desiried. I can manually program specific times and durations without much trouble

Need to do some pruning but not a whole lot.
