A Shed With A Valley View 2026

I looked at the Kalix when you first brought it up, but looked confusing for me.
I ended up trying Technaflora, but it was in the middle of the run before summer hiatus, so not sold yet. I think I like it?
Excited to try it from the jump in a couple months.

They don't offer the customization I anticipated from a 4 part mix. I'm not convinced of the need for a seperate bloom and grow. The "proprietary" ingredients in Profile and the iron in Base could be incorporated with grow/bloom. I don't like the business model or the way their front man presents information.

I plan on using Megacrop next round but honestly I feel like I'm choosing between two bad companies.
Hey man, I've used mega 1 part, mega 2 part, athena procore, kalix, Gh floraflex, jacks 5 -12-26, and now advanced nutrients cultivator series. The athena and the advanced are bullet proof simple 3 part , powdered bases, but I chose the advanced, due to its 40 percent cheaper than Athena pro core. And yes, you can buy the advanced grow and base and just use that for whole cycle , no need for the flower third part. Or use the base and flower for whole cycle. No need for all three. I prefer the grow base route . It actually has more magnesium and less nitrogen than the flower. The reason I stopped using mega two part was solubility issues with their mix. Always a little sediment. I make a liquid concentration of the cultivator series at the rate of 1 lb per gallon. Just some info. Btw the athena procore system is a amazing simple product and feed schedule the same ec the whole way through, but doesn't play well with other additives and is expensive

IIRC you were using Jack's before? Did you opt for the complete Tecnaflora line or??

This single plant operation is nice for a lot of reasons, one is the feed lines are open so the sediment from MC shouldn't be an issue. I used the 1-part so hopefully the solubility isn't any worse?

I saw that constant ec thing with athena back when I chose Kalix and it kinda freaked me out, still does but not as much.

Mega two part dissolves way better than 1 part fyi. For crop steering with precise, precision shots, 3.0 ec is pretty much standard, that's with CO2 supplementation and 950 plus ppfd across entire canopy. It freaked me out too at first, I never fertigated above 2.2 before. The open emitter -manifold system is great, but not for steering, I used that open system for 3 yrs with great success, but always wanted to steer, but didn't want to spend the money for the equipment to do it, but now that it's done, glad I did. If your going to go with mega 2 part, make sure to get the version with urea nitrogen,( some older versions don't have it, ) it dramatically helps with ph stability. It is a great product for the cost!!, Btw my old open system never had clogging issues at all, and I could use any product i wanted without worry of clogs. My 4 x5 is still that system, that I feed at 2.2 , the room just has a dehumidifier. No ac, no CO2

I ran Jacks for a long time, still have some, but I wanted a change? The Technaflora is not as stable as Jacks, but what little I’ve run, the results require more testing?
Long term storage may be an issue, not sure how long Technaflora stays good after opening? Jacks is pretty much indefinite.
First and last time trying Megacrop sample pack reminded me of opening a bag of poop. They’ve probably revised it five or ten times by now. )

It looks like the 3rd true purple stem is a male.

Gonna wait on culling him, might use both?

The one in front on the left has an advange for now. It's getting 100% sun on half of it, which means 100% hail as well 🤷‍♂️ The smell isn't there on that one, at least not yet.

A couple better examples of no. 2 pheno imo. This Gorilla Bubble hunt has been fun but really looking forward to growing something else. The Zug Island are slowly picking up steam, I'll try for some close ups soon.
