That's a fact..Didint take me long to figure that out either..The only product from DTE that I wasn't 100% happy with

Yeah I wanted that 55 from custom hydro and they sold out, told me on email because of war in iran

Is this cal formate something I could use along with organics..I go thru ALOT of calcium in the forms of Crab meal..Oyster shell..Egg shells..Gypsum.Dolimite lime.Sea bird guano..For some reason the way I grow and the dry nutes I use I ALWAYS have to supplement calcium way to often.. Especially certain cuts..SSH being one of them. I feed calcium every 3 days along with a pinch of epsom salt on top of everything else

Find a way to boost the calcium in I your horse's diet then use the manure.

I've pondered aragonite as it's nitrogen free as well..The problem with using things like aragonite and dolomite lime is it raises PH which definitely makes a plant take up nitrogen faster..Like it unlocks the roots..Calcium can be tricky with organics...I found its best to go extremely light but quite often...these days I just pitch and go..don't measure shit...That's pretty much the only thing I'm still trying to nail down is calcium use

If I wasn't concerned with salts as a cal additive, calcium nitrate is as cheap and effective as it gets, especially foilar sprayed, literally overnight fix for defiency

Yeah we have a big issue on the eastern shore of MD, huge chicken farming area, Purdue, hudson, holly all have massive amounts of contract farmers there, runoff from chicken shit creates problems in the bay from pfiesteria to choking of water grasses for excessive algae caused from nitrogen excess from chicken shit. It causes issues with the blue crabs breeding areas

Calcium dosen't care if you grow organic or salts it just wants to fight. It's that mfr'.

Foliar pre/post flip and mixing crab shell or other with ewc was my organics answer.

I love the crab shell it's my #1 for calcium.. Problem is the nitrogen is too high to use on flowering plants.. Dolemite lime is absolutely awesome as well..I use it when I start seeing slight nitrogen deficiency in early bud...Leafs just starts to yellow a bit due to lack of nitrogen I throw a teaspoon top dressed a few times 3 days apart...Even with the lime having zero nitrogen after roughly the 9 days are up the leaf goes from slight yellow to dark green and most times slightly burnt leaf tips...I always keep a box of DTE dolemite just for coaxing nitrogen into plants without adding more..Its a great tool..The lime seems to fix any lockout with a slight raise of PH is what I think is happening...Now the gypsum doesn't change PH but when you use it along with dolamite it keeps the nitrogen hanging around in the root zone longer . I don't know the science behind the shit I just know results from what Ive seen..
