Blueberry Kool-Aid

Seeing that board hanging reminded me I have a bunch of hlg 288 boards.
Are you noticing any issues with them so close, heat wise?
I’m done for the summer, but next winter I give it a try.

It's a little deceiving because I don't have them spread across the entire net so I've got a couple blank rows in the front and then in that back corner. If the branches were all the way over I think I would burn them.

I've got the lights at about 65%. 100 was too much. I usually have them all on top but these got taller then expected and low light between 2nd and 3rd net was triggering me. I kept picturing decent nug on top and larf everywhere else.

I've got a little tip burn damage but that's because I jacked up the top light a little more few days ago.

I’m finishing a couple now running low 70’s, I’ve got them in paper bags. (grocery size) still on the stem. I removed most fan leaves.
I’ve read somewhere curing in the 70’s is actually better? I don’t know, but it’s working for me.
I start at 68 to 70 for three days and 65 percent humidity, for phase one of drying,( chlorophyll conversion) this fast tracks the enzymes( chlorophyllase, oxidases and proteases) that break down chlorophyll. Then I drop to 60 degrees and 60 percent humidity for days 4 through 10, which is phase 2 of drying, the carbohydrate conversation phase, which the enzymes amalysase and glycolytic convert complex carbohydrates and starches into simple sugars. Please note that terpenes start gassing off at 69 to 70 degrees on average. The only reason I start at 68 to 70 is to give a safety cushion from botrytis, which happens a lot post chop with huge buds. If you dry at 72 or above you not only are gassing off terpenes, but also are creating a " skin " on the outside of the bud which will inhibit proper gradual outside to inside conversion, resulting in black ash, off tastes, etc. This is why I keep reiterating the importance of full environmental control for all phases of growth and post harvest cultivation to achieve maximum genetic potential. Cheers
