12 ft pure Michigan..Now that's what Im talking about..That gal should finish rather quick too

The 12 footer was the F6 male, very tall upright structure. The toledo strip and the forbidden jelly are both way bushier than the PM. I'd say some of the mothers genetics came through in both crosses. The forbidden jelly isn't turning as fast as the others, huge monster plant but maybe not suited very well for northern michigan. Maybe she'll kick into gear and surprise me. The female count in the HBZ plot is 2 PM f6, 3 PM ix, 2 Toledo Strip and 1 Forbidden Jelly.

They both got the chop Friday, there's going to be some seeds in the area for sure. The PM ix is going to be loaded. I'm perfectly fine with that cause that one plant is really something special. Finishing super-fast and smells to high heaven. The smell is so much more potent than anything else I have going now, I really have a hard time believing it really smells that strong and good. Such a pleasant super creamy, slightly fruity smell, it just fills the area with the scent. I found a lower branch that didn't look like it was seeded and touched some Grapesmac pollen on it too. If I didn't think she was too far along to clone I'd take some cuts but she's frosting up and I haven't had the greatest luck with rooting budded cuts. I think I'll just be satisfied with a load of seed.

Congrats on one of your beans being the top plant in the grow this year. Can't imagine any of the others are going to surpass that one PM ix. I have a bunch of different breeders and strains; the list is very long. None of the other plants are really even close, a couple of plants from my chucks are coming in a distant 2nd and 3rd atm. Really can't thank you enough for your generosity.

Terribly windy today, beating the hell out of the ladies. Had to stake the Iced Nectarines, she's massive, over 10' tall and nearly as big around, catches some wind for sure. She's growing in a 7 gallon pot that was half buried in partially composted horse stall waste. The wind just about ripped the pot right out the ground. A t-post, a chunk of garden hose and some wire fixed her right up. Probably should've staked the Chimera Junky also we'll see if she's laying on the ground in the morning.

Feel like the pollinating went well, hit King Kush Breath V1 with both Grapesmac and Sunshine Oaxacan pollen. A Peaches and Cream from Briscoes got some grapesmac. Pure Michigan IX got some grapesmac. My King Oaxacan got both Grapesmac and Sunshine Oaxacan. My GCK got some grapesmac pollen. Pollinated the Grapesmac female with Grapesmac pollen a few days ago and it looks like it's took. Cinnamon Pancakes and Grape stomper x Runaway Bride both got some Grapesmac pollen. Hate to be overly enthusiastic but everything in the garden is going as well as I could've hoped.

Got some more veggies planted for a fall/winter crop today also. More Cabbage, Broccoli, beets, spinach and carrots, hope it's not too late.

Making some marinara and pasta. Anyone know what type of squash this is. Got a pack of butternut seeds with an order of mj seeds from Sunshine daydream farm. Most were typical butternut but this one looks like a cross of butternut and acorn. Man is it tasty. Will be saving some seeds.

On a sad note we lost a female plant today. The Chemmy Lemon, it got blew over in the wind last night, snapped 5 main roots including the tap root. I thought about staking it up yesterday bit it looked pretty strong. Tried to stake it back up today and there just wasn't much for roots left holding on, it was already starting to wilt so I gave it a jerk and the last remaining root gave way. RIP

That's great to hear you found something you really like..We all know Pure Michigan is such a medicine plant..Still haven't found anything that will vanish a headache like she will..I've turned lots on to her just for that..I was so upset when I found intersex on the iX breeding..That mom was from force of nature S1s...Damn she was a beautiful gal..hit with PM f4 from Frim..The line Frim worked to F4 ya couldn't herm those plants no matter how hard ya tried..I'm so not done with Pure Michigan..This winter I'm hunting the last of the Pure Michigan f3s frim sent me..IF I find a nice male I'll do another IX....F6 x F3..All at the same time make some f7..Pretty honored ya have a HBZ plot..I think my best ever chucks are happening right now..Have been quite blessed with some damn nice phenos the last couple years..Ide love to send ya a round of the chucks going on now..its a banger of a lineup..Lots based around a Mac Cherry breath x Garlic breath male..A true beast of a male I'll have around perhaps forever

That's a long island cheese squash or a variation, similar in taste to butternut, color will be like butternut also, very delicious squash !!

It's an honor having a HBZ plot, truly. I'll get some better pics of the lot, eventually. Forbidden Jelly, biggest plant in the whole grow atm, massive plant, still growing too. I think it grew a foot overnight, I wish it were further along, can say that about a lot of plants, every year. There's a Toledo strip female that's rivaling the FJ in size. Both plants look mom leaning to me. There's another Toledo strip female that's further along that looks more like PM, smells like the PM's too. Those F6 surely aren't the same smells as the F5 at least not yet. Much sweeter and creamier. Lots of plants are starting to get their smells on. The whole swamp path is starting to smell. Not sure anything smells as nice as the PM crosses. The nose don't lie either, PM agrees with me, I could smoke it everyday if I had it. I sure hope these ones I have going are headache killers like the others were.

That plot was just built this spring. it's going to get better every year. Already excited to see the PM growing there next year. I'd run anything you sent in a heartbeat.

The first one had a more yellowish meat, roasted up really nice, so good I ate the whole thing in one sitting. I don't think it was quite as butternut colored on the outside as this one either, maybe not quite as ripe, or maybe there's 3 varieties in that patch. There are some really small butternuts that are a darker brown that remind me of honeynuts. I'll snap some pics when I cut this one open. So many veggies, hard to keep them eaten up and taken care of, ate 6 ears of corn just today. Picked 10# of Tomatoes today, didn't even make a dent. Green beans are still every 2-3 days. Loved having cukes early but they're done just as the tomatoes are really kicking in. Next year I'll have to stagger cukes every 2 weeks or so when sowing seeds.

Down to one male left, the GCK male came down this evening. Last one standing is a Ghetto Blaster, male is on the right.


Looks like all the pollination attempts have been successful.

Beautiful, I hope she purples up and finishes for you out there. Is she a Forbidden leaner? You can tell pretty early by the stem rub on that cross. It’s like a musky tangie variety. Either way she looks awesome!

Thanks, dude. I hope she finishes too; it's coming along better than I initially thought. I've left plants past Halloween before, but I don't like to do it. So, they have 2 months still to finish. I'd say she's leans toward the FJ even though I haven't grown it. Doesn't really look or smell much like the pure michigans. I have 2 females of PM F6 and a Toledo strip that leans PM also, plus some PM ix. All of those look and smell similar. I was just sniffing on it an hour ago and I thought I could smell some citrus in there, for sure different than the PM which are so sweet and creamy, I just want to eat them up like cookies.

There's one Toledo strip that must lean towards the mom too, she's fat and round and much slower to bud than all the PM's, including the other Toledo strip that looks like the PM's. Out of all of them she's the one that is going to barely make it, if she does at all.

Yessir sounds like your intuitions are right on. The Toledo mom does have more rounder fatter buds. Looking forward to seeing them in mid-late October. Keep on rocking it.

Woreoz is definitely quite slower than Pure Michigan..Indoor Woreoz will look done untill ya scope it..Likes to hang out in clears for a couple weeks longer than pure Michigan..The pure Michigan I grew outside last year was done before October..Maybe it was two years ago. My mind is shot..But I do remember being amazed how quick it finished

I can see that for sure on the Toledo Strip. One is getting on pretty well the other is much bigger plant and taking its sweet time to build flowers. Pretty sure the pic of the ladybugs above was in the big Toledo strip. Can see it's not all that far along, going to be pushing the limits for sure. The other TS looks like it will finish with the Pure Michigan's.

Yes, amazed. All the PM are looking beautiful and smell even better, I'm so happy and thankful for them. They really fit in my garden perfectly. They're fast, not too massively big and these ones smell so great. I bet the one IX will be finished end of sept. The rest of the PM don't look too far behind. Such a great strain, that you did a bang-up job furthering along.

Overall, about half the plants are coming on nice and half are lagging behind. One of my chucks King Oaxacan is looking like it'll be end of September finish too but the other one next to it is not even close. I thought the Usefuls gifts were going to finish super-fast, came on early but they don't seem in a big hurry now, looking pretty nice though.
