One thing I can say with trying god knows how many old stock and trying is once the seedling does crack or come out and goes into its first stage of growing. Sometimes many die off or won’t grow right is because their energy is so low they’re are major stunted and that’s also a major issue. I watched a video (wish I could find it) where the tissue culture was explaining when they did seed germinate culture for old seed they would apply boosters like kelp and misc to help the seed grow.
so I’ve tried kelp and humic acid mixed in when seeds are in their medium ( no base nutes) and I can verify by multi rounds it def made many older 3-10 year old packs def be able to stay alive and get to next stage . I’ve been applying kelp, humic and a microbe that protects by outcompeting like clones and that also helps ur %. Nothing worse than losing possible “keepers” with the status of vulnerable fosure at young stages.
