Brothers, first things first, I have been tragically negligent in posting any kind of summary about my last grow. I didn't even start trimming until a few days ago. All in keeping with the shit attitude I've walked around with most of the time for a while now. I'm going to try and spiff up my outlook in the coming year. Anyhow, any of my friends here that might be wondering how things went I'll have something for you presently. Trying to complete the death march of trimming. Also starting to consider seed selection for the next grow, it will be time to start them before ya know it.
As to seed selection I would like some guidance on good strains to grow that are piney. Potency would not have to be at the top of the scale, as long as it's still respectable. And yield is not terribly important I only grow for myself and a small clutch of others I swap with. Right now I have under consideration ;

Last year I got overwhelmed by life and copped a shitty attitude. That was last year though, I'm much better now. Really 
I've only recently ended a long run of not leaving the property, I did 65 days 16 hours my previous run was 28 days. I need to trot out this years grow but haven't end posted on last years yet so I'll take a swing at that.
I guess first I'll clean up the things I said I was going to grow but it didn't happen. It got back to me that my grow was being talked about among people I don't know, so I'm keeping it to 5. That's a short roster, I have things I want to try and 5 makes that harder.
Big Smith by Amos - Popped one that turned out male, I didn't want a male of anything and sadly dropped it from the roster. I maybe could crowd it in this year I'm undecided. I really want to try this I may have someone that would let me grow one at their place.
Lemon G and White Widow were cuts sent by finedakine - I didn't get to grow either one, they went to friends who were waiting for plants and those needed installed. The Lemon G I liked real well, I had to twist the guys arm just to get a decent sample. The WW I haven't got to try yet. Thank you finedakine for the send
Long Valley Royal Kush from Lester Moore - I had a male and a female, didn't want a male and gave the female to a guy who was waiting for plants. I liked it real well I want to grow one myself. Dude said his was about ready to start dripping resin in late flower.
I feel like there's one more in this category but can't think what it is.
Nor for what I did get done myself. Viking Breath by HBZ

Viking Breath was a big round beautiful bush, stacked nicely and lots of branching somewhat on the slender side. It made a good smoke. Behind the VB was a Blueberry Hashplant from doober. Also a nice plant, it was too crowded. I'd like to do another one in the future and give it more space. Within a couple days of these pics both plants were flattened by wind. Bad as it looks they both still yielded pretty decent.
GrandDaddy Black and Wrath of Khan by KropDuster - Are the 2 christmas trees between the bushes on either end in that group pic above. The GrandDaddy Black was a freebie with purchase of WoK and I really dug that plant. After the group pic above it overtook WoK in size. Love the smoke, it's what I've banged on the most. Both of these made me feel like I'd found something I'd been looking for. Nice yield and the nugs from WoK were real hard ones. They sucked me in man, I'm doing some more KropDuster this year. BOG Bubble from Cincimilla Genetics - Another big round beauty with good yield of smoke I like before turning in. It's the bush on the right in the group pic. In front of it is AF-PAK from Rosinallday. This is another one that was crowded too hard, the smoke is good I would give this one another go with more space.
Also in the group pic between VB and GrandDaddy Black is Kaputa Quartz by Cradle of Mirth. Another one crowded way too hard, it's barely discernible in the pic. I got about 3/4 oz. off it, and then lost track of it trimming pretty sure it got mixed with some other so can't really say about the smoke other than I was looking forward to trying it.
So last year things got a bit sloppy and I think I can do better this year. So far this year will be ;
2 or possibly just 1 GrandDaddy Black, x1 Pishin Black, x1 Purple Takato Kush all from KropDuster
x1 North Shore Maul from Captain Seeds - Having problems with getting popped, I've used 3 of 6 seeds and still do not have a sprout. So this slot could go to Long Valley Royal Kush by Lester.
x2 GrandDaddy Black may become x1 to accommodate a Big Smith from Amos
So off I go with my freshened outlook on life. I have soil prep started, and some of the seeds popped. More to come.
Also Thank You to you fellas that have sent me seeds when I asked, and some who just wanted to gift them. You may not see your stuff in my lineup but I do appreciate and want to grow them out. 5 plants isn't much and I don't do any indoor so selection can be painful.

Line-up as described above, I decided to drop 1 Granddaddy Black to fit in a Big Smith.
