Chips vs Ramen - Phenohunters contest.

Well, I had a bit of a stoner moment today. Got out to the farm and realized I'd left my phone/camera in town. I did get the seeds out to their spot, but proof will have to wait until tomorrow. I've never tried sprouting them under full sun, I'm kinda curious how it'll go, gave them a little cover with some straw over the top.

Curious how the chip can will hold up over 100 days too.

That will be fun to see

Unfortunately the pringles growing system was a huge failure, which i was expecting. The holes compromised it all, allowing access to water between the cardboard and foil paper inner. Good thing i put a tray under it. It was all on the tray, taproot broken in the pile. Shit sucks man. I figured it would last longer than a day but it probably failed in 18 hours. No horror pics. My family is treating me like crap this morning so I just cleaned it up and retreated to my room.

Don't stop now. You were onto something! That was just a prototype. You can't let the Rameneers take the win.

P.S. Plus 40 points to team chips for their contribution to science.

You know, the Lays version uses plastic containers for the chips.

Gotta give it another shot bro. Wrap that sucker up, give it some more support. I bet the ol'redneck fix for everything, a little duct tape would do wonders.

Tape would not have saved that. It's a sopping wet cardboard mess plus the taproot broke when it failed and fell into the tray. One of the holes I drilled underneath was wet and it created a crack that separated the whole bottom while the lights were off. The entire outside of the cardboard can was saturated and that would have eventually led to mold in a fast way. I would definitely have to go with @Amos Otis idea and go with a stax container to start again.

Here’s the 3 ramens. They weren’t terribly dry so maybe there’s a chance they pop. Poked a sharpie sized hole in the bottom so water could escape. Dug out this rotten stump, threw some nicely aged compost in the bottom and around the ramens. Covered with some hay just to retain some moisture. I did tip one over yesterday, lost a tiny bit of soil, I think the seed was still in, it was the DExGM, lots of those, shame they haven’t been grown till now.

4 points team Ramen. And sending rooting vibes your way!

If this is aloud ill hop in if i had a bean or 2
Since the community votes the winners the rules are pretty easy going. Someone is doing a marshmello fluff container for this same contest on one ofnthe other forums. I think there is also a grow where someone did a bag of chips opened on both ends and on a branch. Creativity is awarded bonus points.

If anyone wants mutant columbine they are available for this comp, just dm me.

The muntant pheno came from the regular ones, either are available.

I'm playing too @pepperpicante any chance for weekly (or otherwise timely) score updates?

42 points currently for team chips
7 points for team Ramen
@jpockets420 put team chips on his back with expirementing
@Bullfrog put out 3 noodlebangers and is helping cut the lead down

Are there other Rameneers to take up the mantle?
Will a Chipper hop on where @jpockets420 left off to extend the team lead?!?!

find out on the next episode of Chips vs Ramen.

We are in power outage until Saturday and my basement flooded so unfortunately I'm out of the game. My whole grow is toast. Gotta start from scratch,, again. I'm taking a long break though. My birthday is in a few days and I have some evaluating to do. Sorry that I have to drop out. This storm season is just killing us. First the tornado, now this.
