Crazy dreams

Man did I have some off the wall dreams last night. Didnt smoke any hash before bed, in fact I'm not sure when the last time was that I burned yesterday but dreams were in overdrive.
I dream on the nights I smoke too but the off days I dont, dreams are back to back one after the other and usually pretty vivid.

Saved a friend I havent seen in prolly 12 + years, she fell asleep while we were swimming in a pool. I had to pick her up off the bottom where she was legit snoring. Got her up and she just acts like it's normal to sleep on the bottom of the pool.

Then I was in a house that wasnt mine but my indoor cat was there & she got outside and caused chaos amongst the outdoor cats, except one cuz she had purple eyes & turned into a witch.

And finally me and my cat went for a walk after discovering the witch. We ended up in a neighborhood I'm familiar with, but someone had dumped between 6-10 big alligators on the corner! One noticed my cat and started chasing her and I start running down the street trying to catch it before it catches my cat but I just cant catch up to it. Luckily I woke up before anything drastic happened lol.

Sometimes I look forward to these crazy dreams, never know what I'm gonna get.

Sometimes I look forward to these crazy dreams, never know what I'm gonna get.

You aren't the only one @Dbear . I got REALLY sick last month. Lost a bunch of weight and I'm skinny. Anyways.
I was so sick I couldn't smoke. Hard to inhale when you're puking like a monster. Maybe 3 weeks not smoking? More or less. My dreams have just been electric! Reminded me of when 4-way Windowpane and Orange Sunshine were a primary food group for me. Full florescent cartoon stuff. Kind of exhausting.

When I quit smoking cigs in 2002 with the help of Chantix (script), I would have dreams i was a fighter jet pilot and in dogfights. Every night. I was a bad ass pilot for sure!

Not gonna lie that's a pretty fn cool side effect! I wonder if other people taking it had the same dreams night after night as well.

Pretty neat if you have cool dreams, horrifying if you have nightmares lol.

I knew a guy who played basketball in college. His girlfriend said after every game, he replayed it in his sleep. She slept on the couch after every game after getting smacked in the face a couple times. She said it was one of those funny/not funny deals.

My mom gave my dad a black eye like that. Swears she was asleep lol.

I used to have a recurring fever-dream. . . I called it the "potato boulder dream", basically I was being chased downhill on a winding mountain road by a giant Indiana Jones-style boulder, but it resembled a potato as far back as I can remember as a kid, well into my 20s. I caught Covid in '22 (in my mid 40s) and had the dream again

I have this issue too. I’m not violent in real life but I’ll walk up and punch a guy who looks at me funny in a dream. Unfortunately the wife ends up on the receiving end of the swings and kicks. It was always an accident to be clear but literally the best way to get away with domestic violence.

I use to play alot of call of duty online and she blamed it on that. I hardly play games anymore but still fighting in my sleep. Sometimes I remember it happening and other times she is upset the next morning and I have no idea why.

When I was younger and had dreams I was in a fight. When I punched it felt real heavy and in slow motion. Anyone else? It was always annoying as hell and usually woke me up.

Hahaha mine were pillow punches. No matter how hard I tried to hit someone it would just brush off of them with less force than a half assed high five you give to the team that beat you in middle school.

I in the process of weaning myself off Gabapentin, but I agree with the unusual dreams. Learning to deal with some discomfort but it is actually milder than I anticipated.

I've been using Ashwagandha on & off to help with sleep. It makes me have extremely vivid dreams. Without it I rarely dream, but I think that's mostly due to smoking. I feel like cannabis suppresses dreams for me.

When was the last time you(any of you) dried out and suffered "REM Rebound"?

Of the many things I hated about drying out for piss tests was the crazy, intense dreams that came with it. I could wake up, freaked out about my dream, sit up, go to the can, come back to bed, and end up right where I left off, driving off a cliff or whatever.

Does anyone have recurring locations where dreams take place? For many years, one of mine was a surreal version of my high school. The school already had a strange layout, with different wings and different levels, but in the dreams it was even weirder.
Nowadays it's usually some amalgamation of all the industrial sites I've worked on.

I see a couple posts on Gabapentin here . @Lurrabq . I'll take the miserable nerve pain from Peripheral Neuropathy over side effects from Gabapentin. Pregabalin. Same thing. I had four back surgeries in 2 1/2 years. Last one was just over a year ago.
If it works for you be careful. As it's effectiveness is diminishes over time. MD says " let's increase the dose". Eventually the side effects turn your brain into a noodle on a good day and hammered dogshit on a bad day.
I know so many people who tried Gabapentin and know only two who take a low dose with minimal side effects.
Yes, my PN is bad. I took off a boot I'd had on all morning. 4 hours. There's a black trimming glove mashed into the toe and I couldn't feel it. At all.
You take it for too long you might be one of the unfortunate folks who stay messed up.
