Got Pee?

Chunky Stool

Plant Destroyer
I sure do -- especially at night!

Frequent urination sucks.
My average is 4 times per night. Min = 2, Max = 8

A urologist said my prostate "isn't that big", so I've got a bladder ultrasound scheduled for 3:30 today.
Hopefully there's nothing unexpected lurking in there.

It's probably not diabetes, but it wouldn't hurt to get my A1C checked again.

Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do?

I have an enlarged prostate and live with it . I take a nerve blocker for the pain , but I'm up twice a night 😞. I would also get checked for a UTI. They're pretty common and can cause this. A week of antibiotics and you're good.

I did have that before I knew I had diabeties. However, that happens because it also makes you thirsty as hell trying to get the sugar out of your system.

@Chunky Stool You have any swelling or water retention in the legs/feet? If your not really sure, you can push on your lower calf/top of foot with your index and middle fingers and hold pressure for like 10-15 seconds. If you lift your fingers and there is a noticable indent left, you're retaining water.
I didnt realize how bad I was retaining water before my congestive heart failure and being put on meds. I was pissing a lot at night from retaining water throughout the day. It was just something about being in the laying position I guess that made me have to go?? I now take Lasix (Furosemide) and that has me pissing like every 7-10 minutes for the first 2 hrs or so after taking it in the AM. Other than that everything is normal now and I get a restful sleep w/o having to get up to go anymore. I would certainly hope this isnt the case for you. Im just sharing familiar experiences.

Hope you get it addressed (y). I will be seeing a urologist in January for similar issues. Kidney failure had me on dialysis for 5 years, and after 4, I had no output at all. 10 years after my transplant and my bladder has not achieved its prior capacity. Frequency is now starting to cause concern. I'll post my results in about 6 weeks. I hope your fix is a simple one🤞

Odd revelation for me.
I got a CPap machine, right as Covid was running rampant.
They sent everything to my home, I never once got to speak to anyone about using it.
Lie, I tried, but could not understand lady speaking to me, and gave up.
So, I set it up, slap on the head gear, and try to sleep.
I usually get up 2-3 times a night, as I'm a water, coffee, tea drinker, maybe an occasional fruit juice, but it's all I drink.
No soda, nor alcohol, so I'm pretty bland.
First night, I sleep till morning, and got to pee like a race horse when I woke up.
About a month later on, I started finding myself, awake around 3:00 am, and nothing I did got me back to sleep.
Same next night.
So, now I'll sleep first, for 2-3 hours or so, then as I wake to pee, then I slap on the head gear, and sleep through till 6:30 or so when I like to get up.
I'm peeing less at night, if I sleep a bit first, then Cpap up! Weird, I do not get it.

Same here, it gets more consistent/persistent as i get older. Up at night on average 2-3 times.

I haven't had a solid night's sleep without getting up to pee in AGES. One good thing is, having a Tempur-Pedic memory foam type bed really helps not disturbing my wife when I'm up and down at night.

I personally don't sweat it (for now) because I don't have any other symptoms otherwise, pointing to anything alarming. I also drink a decent amount of tea and coffee throughout the day, high caffeine can definitely have an effect on urinary need-to-go'edness (y)

I swear the last time I can remember getting a solid 8 hrs sleep was on my vacation in Hawaii June 2015. We stayed at Turtle Bay (now a Ritz Carlton) and that was the best sleep i ever got, literally laid my head down 10 or 11-ish, woke up right at 8 hrs vibrant and ready to go! Never before or since. It was crazy.

Oh, im also mid 40s, average height and healthy body weight but with borderline hi blood pressure due to genetics+ aforementioned caffeine addiction 👍 non smoker other than our beloved ganj, sporadic drinker & usually just lite beers
