I will be giving my full review on tribus and their micfobes after 2-4 rounds , almost done with 1st round . anyone giving blind reviews when they just start using a product is very blind and I don’t suggest doing it that way ( just my views ). Just wanted to get the thread started . Once I get more experience and trial it more I’ll give my cemented views ! So far by price and species, I’m all game on their microbes

I committed to two months to observation of Xtreme mykos, dynomyco, and controls in recycled media. An extended veg showed no differences with identical cuts in identical conditions, even at elevated levels of application, but in all fairness, my dry amendment package supplied those species from the build, and they should have survived recycling. Maybe it's geared to the 3.6EC crowd in inert media.

I’ve used similiar species that tribus uses for years now and I do think they are worthy . The key is what product is best for your buck but also has best shelf life and highest populations . I’m using tribus Continuµm for the added chitin based species . I do see my plants really love it and for the low dosage needs to keep it in the drench everytime is no big deal . I will confirm if tribus is my go to brand after a few more rounds but even if it wasn’t tribus I do support the species they use and do know from use and compare in my own rooms if I use or don’t it def shows.


To answer your question you gotta realize the products u were using were not same reasonings and moa. Good products but not same things. This is why I s-rink;e als0 myko’s in transplant.Myko’s and those species of what ur using do a completely dif MOA vs tribus orginal and continum and not in anyway same tools. They def can be used together .

Do you mean Dynomyco (a mycorrhizal inoculant) and Tribus Original (a microbial / rhizobacteria inoculant)? If so, here’s a comparison of what I found — and which might be better depending on your use case. If you meant something else by “dynomyco” or “tribus original,” tell me and I’ll adjust.

What they are / modes of action

Pros & cons, and which might suit different situations
Advantages of Dynomyco

• Because it’s fungal, it forms a persistent symbiotic network with roots — once established, it can continue benefiting the plant without needing frequent reapplications (in many cases).
• Good especially in soils that are low in beneficial fungi or when you want to enhance root reach into soil zones beyond the root boundary
• Less frequent application might reduce labor / cost over time.

Limitations / things to watch for with Dynomyco

• Fungal inoculants may be sensitive to harsh chemical use (fungicides or strong sterilants) that kill or inhibit them.
• Might not colonize well in harsh environments or in media that doesn’t allow for fungal spread.
• For plants (or crops) that are non-mycorrhizal (some species do not form mycorrhizal relationships), the benefit might be minimal

Advantages of Tribus (Original) and continum

• Because it’s bacterial, it’s more flexible and can act through mechanisms like solubilizing nutrients (e.g. phosphorus, micronutrients) that otherwise are locked in the soil.
• Works in a wide range of media (soil, hydro, coco) and is compatible with many fertilization practices.
• Because the bacteria are periodically replenished, you maintain beneficial populations throughout the plant lifecycle (helpful in more dynamic or stressed systems).

Limitations / challenges with Tribus

• Requires repeated application to maintain effective bacterial populations.
• In environments hostile to bacteria (e.g. extreme pH, high salts, antimicrobial inputs), performance may drop.
• It’s a bacterial inoculant, so its mode of benefit differs — you may not get the “extended nutrient reach via fungal hyphae” advantage that mycorrhizae provide.

Which is “better”
There is no absolute answer — “better” depends on your system, your plant species, your soil/media, and your goals. Here are some guidelines

• If your soil is poor in beneficial fungi, or you want long-term root extension, Dynomyco might give strong value.
• If your system has frequent disturbance (e.g. hydroponics, coco, replanting) or you need more direct nutrient mobilization via bacteria, Tribus could perform better.
• You might even use both together, as fungal and bacterial inoculants can act synergistically (fungi expand reach, bacteria help make nutrients more accessible).
• If cost, frequency of use, and maintenance are constraints, the lower-maintenance route (fungal that persists) might appeal more.
• Also check whether your plant species is mycorrhizal or non-mycorrhizal (if non-mycorrhizal, a fungal product like Dynomyco gives no benefit; bacteria may still help).

My cemented ways of saying something is worthy or to cement a true review for me is min 2-4 runs min. I just got received it and if I was like “ omg it made my plants so much more healthier and my yields 2x” I def would be a liar hahaha.

and no I’m not using tundra , I’m not sponsored so everything I’m doing is paid by bh hehe. maybe in future and would like to talk to company for samples of that product and I def would test it fully . gotta be on a budget sometimes

I can’t even write down the start date.
I’m still running dtw straight coco coir, dosing them once a week. I’m wondering if I’m wasting money as it gets flushed the next feeding?
Pretty sure I’m not using it as intended?
I was thinking I might get better results foliar feeding, something I’ve never done for whatever reason.
