Page is quite a bit cooler on average than down here - but the immediate surrounding land is just so barren.
Tucson has a fairly green surrounding desert, which doesn't make it any cooler, but psychologically helps you feel as if you aren't living in Death Valley...
For years when I was younger. I refused to turn on my vehicle's air conditioner.
Chose to drive with my window down in the summer, so that I wouldn't lose my heat acclimation.
I don't do that anymore....????

Acclimation??? Bro... I've worked in many Kitchens in Summer, and spent my entire break in the walk in freezer trying not to have a mental breakdown from the heat.

That poor Moustache .... Surprised it didn't burn off LOL. If I want some heat I'll eat Ghost Peppers. What you're describing is torture haha.
