Seeking solid info from people that has actually used Kratom
I'm becoming a lil desperate here..I live with insane pain on a daily basis..A lot of you know the accident I had..Since the major trauma I endured almost 2 years ago I've slowly stopped using cannabis because it makes me focus on the pain and becoming less desirable to me..Ive always been a cross fader and use cannabis and alcohol hand in hand almost solely..Now that I recently had a heart attack I haven't had any alcohol or weed..I got a few ounces of pure kratom leaf from super speciosa which is lab batch tested and one of the best sources available..Lots of stigma surrounding Kratom..Of course tho..It undermines lab coat drug dealers (docs/pharma)..Ide love for cannabis to be my answer for pain but I promise you it isn't..I haven't tried the Kratom yet because I'm not sure how it will mix with the new heart meds and I dont want to create fresh problems that set me back even further..On the other hand my mind is telling me...Do it if something bad happens perhaps it's just time to accept I've came to the end of road..I'm almost at my breaking point for real.... Hopefully someone has some info..If not.. one way to find out

No personal first hand info at all on this but I have read some stories. Pain is pain tho,. I'd see if you can check the meds you are on now for compatibility with kratom. If that checked out, then I might try some.
But go lightly. Some of the listed side effects are nasty.

haven't used it but I do know that it causes blood pressure to rise (sometimes significantly) so be careful @HBZ with your heart meds.
Using only the Pure leaf and not a extract like 7 0H I haven't seen many reported side effects especially at moderate doses and perhaps not even daily..I was on opiates for quite some time and never really acquired a addiction..I just don't have a addictive personality I don't think..That said I was also very mindful with them..Super easy for me to get off of..Lil edgy for a few weeks but nothing crazy.. Anything linked with Kratom online is almost solely linked with 7 0H and that is a entire different animal than pure leaf Kratom so it makes it almost impossible to find worthy info... Pharma says Kratom bad bad bad....Bad for what..Cuts into there paycheck bad..Doctors can't prescribe it so they know NOTHING about it ..only what they have been indoctrinated to say and think..Kratom has been around for many many years and it was never a issue untill 7 0H hit the streets. Wish they would quit acting like they are the same thing so real info could be acquired...God I hate what this world has become... seriously

I have alot of personal experience with Kratom. I have battled opiate addiction for 2 decades and all the assorted hells that go along with that. I can tell you that depending on the strain, color, etc. It can provide noticeable pain relief. The down side is the amount of powder you will have to ingest at least 2 or 3 times daily which can cause stomach problems, constipation, etc. It tastes fucking nasty and putting it in capsules means eating 15 to 20 caps multiple times a day. KRATOM WILL CAUSE PHYSICAL DEPENDENCE WITH CONTINUED USE. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS SIMILAR TO ANY OTHER OPIATE AGONIST. There is a lot of shady shit on the business side of the I dustry, but quality powder and extracts can be sourced, which it sounds like you have at least attempted with the testing. My girlfriend is a master herbalist and naturopath Dr. with many contacts and info if u looking for specifics. We have several kilos of quality krato.m on hand I can send you to try. I perso ally have used it for opiate withdrawal many occasions and DO NOT RECOMMEND under most circumstances. Hope this helps

It hurts me to read that you’re struggling. I don’t have any experience with kratom. Only curiosity and the same thoughts about pharma because they will surely cover up simple remedies to push their profits.

Wondering if you have ever made or tried tincture? I know that is weed and alcohol but It gives me a hella body buzz and numbing action similar to pain meds. I use it recreationally so not sure, maybe @Willie can add to this.

I don’t want to mess you up anymore and pray you find what works for you. Good luck and be careful brother.

All of this.

The only time I would EVER recommend someone take kratom is in decreasing doses if they're trying to quit opiates. That's it. That's it's one good use.

Everything else is steps leading down an already dark path that only gets darker. You're not just getting addicted to one thing, you're potentially getting addicted to every opiate that exists, and if you run out your brain WILL start looking at those options.

@HBZ what have you tried as far as high dose edibles? When I've been in the worst pains of my life, which were maybe not quite on the same level but similar, 3-400 mg would get things to settle down. Also, I wonder if some aged hash would have a different effect on you than the flower that you usually smoke, it helped me a lot when I hurt my knee in Canada.

Also don't underestimate the effectiveness of OTC pain relievers stacked with Tylenol for a baseline pain fighting boost. After breaking my ankle and before surgery (4 fucking weeks), my routine was to get up, immediately take 2 ibuprofen with a protein shake with about a tablespoon of vaped bud in there, 2 hours later take 2 tylenol, 2 hours later take 2 ibuprofen, 2 hours later take 2 tylenol... added inhaled weed as needed. All while crutching everywhere on an ankle broken in 5 places.

I know it almost sounds condescending to recommend tylenol and ibuprofen for that level of pain, but they helped me quite a bit in retrospect. I think of pain management like sound dampening- every little thing adds up to turn the volume down.

Edit: Kava Kava might help. Drinking it makes your mouth numb, but it adds another level of relaxation to edibles.

What is the main reasons you don't recommend? The side effects? How much is needed? Or the addiction factor?

What type of tincture? I make RSO for the wife..I know that's not tincture but actually funny story but not so funny for me..couple weeks ago I took a lil RSO before bed and slept so well I was like ok maybe I can use this stuff (tried so many times) NOPE! I took a decent dose at about 9:45 pm ...well I woke up at 1am so absolutely blazed out of a dead ass sleep I was sweating and so damn high I couldn't hardly get up to piss..I'm talking WAY high..Butter body..so damn high it kicked in the paranoid shit..I really want cannabis to work...It's just not lately....AT ALL

Ive ate edibles more times than I can count..And have absolutely regretted many of those times unless I had a good amount of alcohol in my system...No amount of cannabis being bud.. Edibles.. RSO...Any of it has a negative impact if mixed with alcohol

.Huge huge problem without alcohol...Even just bud..I can't explain why just that it's a fact.. Ibuprofen and naproxen is a no no with these heart meds ...That's one thing they told me...Ya think Kratom a couple days a week would lead to problems? I was on opiates for a solid year and didn't have much problem quitting...I NEVER took them daily even when I could
.Kratom would be used the same way
.Couple days a week...Same as I used opiates
.Work to unbelievable pain and a couple days of pain relief..worked for me for the most part

As long as you have quality powder the main problem in my opinion is the dosing regiment and what it does to my stomach. If you're opiate naive, low tolerance, you're looking at taking 2 to 5 grams 3 times a day, which will give u pain relief almost identical to pharmacy opiates. Kratom activate the same opiates receptors. If taken daily for 3 weeks you will become physically dependent and experience withdrawal symptoms similar to pharma opiates. While the withdrawal from Kratom is generally easier less severe, it still exists.

Don't know what your pain level is or the cause but one thing you "might" give a thought to @HBZ is acupuncture. Chinese have dealt with many issues wayyyy before western medicine. there are a few clinics down in the Springs that have very reasonable rates. might be worth a few sessions??

Well to me that's a good thing I think...I'm quite desperate for pain relief However Ive lived with pain non stop for quite some time...I had lots of opiates at hand for the taking including liquid oxycodone
.I was hurt pretty bad..Had lots of family members ruin there lives with opiates and a few no longer alive..I seem to have no problem going multiple days with or without. No doubt I always felt better on the days taking opiates but they truly never became a problem... Probably because I was so against them before I ever started..My main drug of choice has always been alcohol and probably always will be..Just the way it is..The reason I wanted to try Kratom is because I don't like docs or Pharma drugs period..If I could get relief a couple times a week and stay mindful I'm not worried about the addiction part..If side effects became a problem ide stop immediately..Just not sure how the heart meds and Kratom will vibe

..

I have done acupuncture and it certainly worked well and that's something I'm going to pursue for sure

forgot one more "alternative" therapy. if it doesn't work, trippin' balls is still fun as hell.
Psilocybin shows promise as a multidimensional therapy for chronic pain, addressing both sensory and affective components

@HBZ , I've heard Wild Lettuce, or "Opium lettuce" extract is a natural pain reliever. I haven't tried it myself, so not sure how well it works tho.
I think the approach to relief is different for different kinds of pain. I've been trying to deal with pain as well. I started using Ashwagandha, it's not necessarily for pain relief, but it's supposed to be an Adaptogen, helps you out will all sorts of stress. It's helped me a ton with sleep, and getting good rest is essential for healing.
I'd recommend checking out both of those, always read up on drug interactions, too. 👊
