not nearly as many tomatoes as normal by this time of the season. we've been down to 46-48F at nite for about the last week or so. @DopeDaniel you getting as many fruits as normal you think?

I wouldn't be the one to ask, I don't even like tomatoes. Mine do seem to be stalling tho, I thought it was fertility but so far I've only gotten 3 fruit and yesterday I snapped a branch that had about 10 set and a shitton of flowers still

@Chefdave @DopeDaniel your opinions please. using air pots this run (2 gal). used to use hard plastic 2 gals. do you think airpots are more or less susceptible to root rot versus solid plastic (drain holes on bottom). using some pool shock now but am thinking about going back to southern AG GFF.

Never used airpots brother, so I'm not qualified to answer the question. Sorry. If your using coco/ perlite or even straight coco, can't honestly see ever getting root rot. If your using soil or soil mix I'm definitely not the one to ask. I have heard that air pots are good.

using a mix I came up with: 2 parts coco, 1 part hydroton, 1 part sunshine 4 . has been really good to me since I quit DWC. just not sure if the extra exposure to air is good, bad or no difference.

One thing I do know if your using pool shock, the sunshine 4 is a waste of money, the pool shock will kill everything beneficial in the sunshine mix, for hand watering your mix is good, just know your killing your beneficials in the mix. I guess coming from dwc your used to pool shock( cal hypo) it's not needed for hand watering coco/peat or coco perlite mixes. The extra air exposure from air pots is a good thing, just like fabric bags, they air prune roots ,which eliminates rootbound root zone problems,increases medium oxygen, and create dryback uniformity in the rhizosphere .You really only need your sunshine 4 mix which already is a good coco peat perlite mix with beneficials and skip the pool shock. Your 2 gallon size is excellent for hand watering.

Here though it can be a detriment or maybe it helps the room maintain rh. I don't like them. I think proper watering technique is more important.
I feel like @JL2G tried them and ended up siliconing the holes.

Yeah everything is relative to environment. Which is the most important thing in growing. Period. Easy to control everything else and thrive when your environment is proper. Cannabis is real simple if your vpd is in check and consistent . 99.9 percent of problems are from environmental issues.
