Starting a new round in the grow boxes this weekend, so might as well start off with a pic of the seeds that will be hitting the dirt soon....

As previously done with regular seeds, I will have them all sex tested by @Rimrock Analytical when they are about 10-14 days old and have two real sets of leaves. If any box rolls snake eyes and comes up double male, they will be replaced by the following fem seeds....

Plan B: Fem Tester A from OrganicX and if needed Sour Diesel x Zoda from Umami....

Love to see some Dead by Dawn genetics being grown out! That holy moly donut shop is a nice one! Can't wait to see how the cross comes out. The breeder Crimson is easy to reach with any questions and is a blesser to the community. My growmie rolla j has held onto his HMDS cut through a lot of runs, I think about grabbing a cut off him. I'll be following this run and rooting for girls!

I use Taylor at Rimrock Analytics in Colorado since he's close and my samples usually get there in 2 days. He turns it around in a day, so it's a pretty quick process. I buy 10 tests at a time for around $120 or so and it includes a return shipping label. Additional shipping labels are $5, so I usually buy an extra because I don't use 10 tests in one shot.

I think if you just buy a few tests, they are around $13 or so each.

That's good to know! I've got the HMDS F2 seeds, but I didn't pop any of those. I now have the F4 as well because it came in my seed box, so I told Crimson that I was going to grow out the F4 first to see what he was after, then grow the F2 and see what shows up. All of this down the road when I have more grow space....
 
Got home from El Paso and all the plants have broken ground except the Silver Pearl 75 which I assume is a longer germination since neither has broken ground yet. The left plant of the Lavender Goat was already bent over at the top of the humidity dome and is twice the size of the right side plant. I hope the smaller, slower growing one is the female....

Sex testing samples went out today to Taylor @Rimrock Analytical and I should have the results when I get home on Monday if not sooner. I could only send the Infected Mind, Lavender Goat and Lemon Skat Haze because the Silver Pearl 75 only has one plant above ground and it doesn't have it's second set of leaves yet. I didn't want to wait as the others are well ahead and I'd like to know what I'm dealing with.

Lavender Goat by @Shoreline The left side plant is hulking over the right side plant. You can barely see the little right side plant. This plant is larger than any of the others by at least 2x or more....

Okay, this is getting ridiculous @Shoreline the left plant is going crazy and the poor right plant is just stunted now because it's always in the shade. I'm still waiting for the test results because of the damn post office. The post office just sucks right now....

Silver Pearl 75 from @FlyingFishFarms I only had one plant sprout above ground, so hoping it's a lady. I'm taking a sample of this plant tomorrow morning and taking it a local testing lab in Albuquerque that can get me results by Wednesday. I'm hoping this is a girl because I really want to see what I get with it.....

Infected Mind has consistent leaf structure between the plants, so either would be a good choice....

not to question your methods, but what's the reasoning for regular seeds and then paying for sexing them versus buying fem seeds?

as strictly fems for me , the one thing I would guess is there are many, many more options of reg seeds compared to Fems.

Because for tester seeds, the vast majority are regular seeds. Since the seeds are generally free, so I don't mind paying for the sex testing to save myself the time and space of waiting for the plant to tell me. My last 3 runs have all been testers with the last one being the S1 Alien Apple Breath from 1212, so I didn't have to test those.

My next run is going to be a mutant run, so there are no female seeds of what I'm going to run, so it'll be a repeat of this method.

If I were just growing for head stash and not learning how to grow all these different testers, feminized seeds would be perfectly fine for my little grow boxes....

I like regs. Never know when you will find a stud male to make more beans. Plus with clones and fem beans I always have girls going to make for any regs that dont make it.
