Yeah, once you realize a bullet is 2 bucks it's hard to look the other way. I remember one time, I was in the hood on the east side of Detroit, and there was a stray Cat walking around the "spot" and I was outside talking to a couple friends of mine, and I saw an employee there, kick the Cat...

I imagine the look on my face was pretty interesting, because my buddy saw my face and was like "uh oh..." and he walked up and grabbed that dude, and made him feed his lunch to the Cat, and gave him a "talking to" about how that wouldn't be happening ever again.

Someone abusing a living thing sets me off in ways I'm not proud of.

Same bud. Glad your buddy straightened this guy out. Animals struggling to survive especially tug on my strings. That pit was innocent, deserved way better treatment and the ability to enjoy its life.

In a much worse area a few years back (deep city) I had a friend who lived near a street where pit fights happened nightly. I recall a 12 year old kid trying to sell me a brown paper bag stuffed with heavy revolvers for 40$ on the same street.

This area has its pockets of good, but not worth any more of my life. My rescued feral and I are gone shortly, and past some finalizing next week I am never coming back. I’d expect if I did, I’d end up dead or in the clink.

It will be OK man. You are leaving before breaking. Good on you bro. A few weeks from now and you will look back and smile! Assholes never change, so leave them all behind. Those type of fools are best viewed in the rear view mirror.

Much appreciated Roz, it’s been a bumpy road for sure. My temp spot has a hot tub… making full use of that. Now to make it through the night without any issues. I’m hawking my car rn expecting the worst like a paranoid mess. But I have a feeling once I hit the county roads tomorrow and fire up some alien I’ll be just fine
