I’m curious as to what the butt chugging method. I’m pretty much an old dog with few new tricks but I’d change my tune for butt chugging!

Thanks! Yes its a reservoir attached to 4 plates I guess you would call them. Feed from the bottom with cords over the top of the base into the nutes underneath. Heres a link (below) to what I picked up. Cost effective better than other systems IMO! Such a time saver! Only thing is you cant do the rez until the roots woould come in to contact with the wet grow median. Not sure if you can see but the pots are on trays until I turn on the watering system.

Hey Thanks! I have so many favs! LOL I like any gas with a little fruit, love chem anything pretty much. But I am an Indica guy or hybrid leaning indica. I use Canna A/B and Advanced (not together) and I make some bougie tea to supplement along with recharge and the usual stuff that compliments the coco, i.e. Epsom, H2O2, chitosan, bud explosion (in flower). It works for me though. How about you?

Thanks! you hit the nail on the head especially no bugs at all! SO its really cords that go into the bottom of the dish while the pot (cloth) lies on top and drinks. Its sick how during the run the damn things get hungry! Its a 13 gallon rez and at times it just empties in like 10 days, I think once it did 9 days! I took a look at that spider farmer system, it is quite ingenious.
It looks like the magic is happening within what they call the 'shutoff valve box'
It would seem to shut off valve box is functioning much like an automatic pet watering dish.
I am imagining that the box is air tight, and when water is drawn from the system,air is exchanged for water.
The water level is lowered when the pet drinks. The only way more water can escape is during a hostage exchange for air.
That is how it is working in my head, anyway. I am thinking you will hear random slurping sounds, as the air sneaks back into the system. The only part I don't get is the manufacturers claim of supplying fresh oxygenated water. The oxygen content of static water is nearly directly proportional to its temperature.
It is a really nifty system, and I can see why it is essential to keep everything bang-level.

Awesome, Welcome to the board @puffo1976. I have never put it into practice anyway, but I will definitely never use the term "bottom watering" again. I've found something better lol.
