Welcome to the best weed forum on the net.
There are some really good folks here.
I have so many bags, 35 mm film cases and more w/ old bag seed and labeled "in code"...but yes, I am pretty sure the Sweet Tooth is from the late 80's. My ex best friend started to get it and it was noticibly different than anything else. If its a mistake not on purpose but it cant be from past '94 at the latest. I know Breeder Steve had "invented" it late 90's but it may be something different than what we had. I'm east coast that traveled back and forth but I wasnt the source of it, and like so many other strains, and especially back then (no internet yet really) breeders and dealers just came up w/ names and told people "this is what its called", whether true or not, and Im positive that some dealers just saw names in High TImes and then claims that they had that strain that was in High Times..different time/era for sure!1988 sweet tooth? I learn something new every day.
nice to meet you and I agree 1k%...my kids ask"why do you love that Sour D and Chem so much??" lol....kidsWelcome and love the list you mentioned..Personally I don't think there is anything more important than keeping some old classics alive and thriving..There WILL come a time when genetics hit a wall with the way things are done these days..Those older genetics if preserved will play a huge roll in fixing things...I truly believe that..Good to have ya here![]()
new rooms being built, will share in a few mos as ready..nice to meet youSounds like you will fit in nicely here. Welcome and enjoy. Bring on the bud porn!
much thnx, nice to meet youWelcome to the crew.

thnx, nice to meet you. I will check out the link, appreciated!!
not sure if my message went through first time. Thnx, and I will check out the link
Thnx for the kind words but I am just like everybody else..navigating our way around to do what we love/need/want...I am old school MH & HPS...LED's really messed things up as too few can really nail it...in my opinion. I am hoping w/ legal in a lot of States that folks will revert back as its not that much of a concern to have your meter spinning if your in compliance.... but I do know some that absolutely KILL IT w/ LED's....not easyWelcome to the grow OGRnR ! Woah 40+ years is a good long time. LOL one more fella that's forgotten more about growing than I'm ever going to know, there's a number of fellas like that around here. Glad you joined us, you'll feel right at home I'm sure.
nice to meet you..we were paving the way you and others and happily doing so! I mentioned in another reply that I have so much old bag seed labeled in zips, 35 mm cannisters, tic-tac cases, etc and they have names and "code words"..If I made a mistake on the date by a few years it is unintentional as I did not put dates on them but know who they were from and when I was with them (or friends w/ them)..but yes, I def believe what I have pre-dates what Breeder Steve has. So many folks back then just put names on products whether they were the breeder or the dealer and there was no internet to search back then (foe most)Hey there @OG RocknRoll welcome.
Holy crap! Some of those strains you listed are Awesome![]()

thnx for the welcome! real highlights are the strains from the 80's...some didnt even have names, just fire...Welcome aboard! Let's see some pics of what you got crackin! I'd love to see and hear about some old genetics. What's some highlights from your collection?
Awesome, thanks for that bit knowledge,i love hearing about old school strains and the cannabis scene back in the day.nice to meet you. i would never say something that I cant say is factual so here goes... to me and back in the 80's Crippy was an amazing strain from South FL, back then there was not much being shared east coast - west coast, there was, but you really needed to know someone. What happened, according to me, is that the crippy was so good people started to use the term generically, and then all of a sudden people would ask "who's got the crips"...meaning good weed. Out West it could have had something to do w/ what your referencing but out West they had Chronic, which was also a strain that became a generic term for really good weed. At that time but more notably in the late 80's early 90's some amazing weed that was grown in labs in Cali started showing up and it was nothing like the mex, thai, columbian that had been around. I even remember when we went to Amsterdam early 90's and we had better bud in the states than what hey had in the coffee shops...
