Outdoor 2025 tribute grow

LoboGrow

In Bloom
I received some NC#4 Haze F2 seeds from a member on another forum and a couple of weeks later he passed away of a sudden hearth attack. I didn't know the guy very well, just messages in DM and a love for the sativa/NLD style plants, which was a bit of specialty for him. I wasn't going to have any outside plants this year, but after thinking about it, I decided to go ahead and plant 4 seeds he sent me outside and see if they'll finish here.

The original seeds were a tester NC#4 Haze from Mahakala and SJ pollinated his Runtz Oreoz and then made the F2 with the female NC#4 Haze plants.

I started the seeds May 19 and they all 4 have sprouted. We had a large hailstorm this past weekend and somehow, the seedlings didn't get hit...

Sunday update.

They've endured a couple of small size hail storms and lots of heavy wind since they've been alive. They are starting to get much broader at the base of the stem as seen in previous pics by Sheik....

At some point, I'm going to top these, as I don't want them to get much higher than the fence line. Friday was solstice, so hopefully they'll start flowering in a month or so and I can find a way to control their height, which may be a lot to ask of these beautiful plants....

Also, my squash is showing serious calcium and nitrogen deficiency, so it got some Demeter's Destiny this morning, foliar of CalMag Fuel and Lush Green last night and will get more Tuesday afternoon before I leave on a work trip....

Day 41 update since hitting the dirt....

They got top fed, so they are sitting on their elevators taking in the sun today and drawing up feed water. Tonight, they'll go back on the watering bases for another week of growing. The tallest plant is about 3' tall at the moment.

I'm not sure if they'll finish either. Supposed to be 15-16 weeks from the start of flower, but I don't know when that will be here. These are my first outdoor plants for New Mexico....
I'm only an hour and a half from the Canadian border. I'd think you'll have much better luck than me. I have 4 months to get them grown and finished. Keep us posted, I'm interested in how they'll finish for you. Totally different environment than what I've ever grown in.

July 13 update. The purple petiole pheno has become much more distinctive and interesting. The other plants are not showing this trait whatsoever. There is one that is tallest with the skinniest leaves and another that is the palest of the bunch. The last plant has the most robust lateral branching. The tallest one is about an inch taller than I am.....
