Well I just pressed the last 50g of 120/73iu bubble/temple balls today. I will say this, cutting up all those temple balls was really fun.

Im guesstimating I got about a 50% return from bubble to pressing rosin. Ill go through and press them once more layer tonight.

Mac stomper strain.120iu and 73iu bags combined. Currently in storage to cold cure (65* dark room). Will whip on Sunday or Monday.

Samsung Galaxy s23 active with "pro mode" on the camera setting.

Maybe next run I'll do all the pressing at 155* and see what the accumulated results are. Ill save all the 1st pressing at 155*, and all the 2nd pressing at 160* seperated.

I repressed all the used bags, and got just about 2g, from that into the master jar for cold curing. I repressed all the used "chips" as well. Got .5g dab. Its very very tasty!

There is absolutely zero need to double bag, unless your pressing alot of material on huge platens. Im sure i left about 1g-2g tops in rosin trapped in the bags.
I just pressed 5g temple ball made from 160/25iu in a 37iu bag. I got 2g). Not as opaque as the 120/73, but I'm sure still tasty.

Now for a taste test.
Not as tasty as the 120/73 batch, but still tastes well and potent.

If anyone has any tips or tricks for pressing, post them up. I have to remember everything from 10yrs ago when I was pressing rosin before it took off.
 
I wasn't getting much (visually) after 5 days in a dark, 62* room, so i moved the jar upstairs in a dark, 72* spot. Its easier to whip when it's slightly warmer. Ill whip it a bit more tomorrow. Never whipped rosin before, so I either need to whip better, use a different whipping tool (I just use my dab tool), or I'll slightly warm it a bit more and whip.

It smells amazing.

I just downloaded a new camera app, called Expert raw. I can do some pretty awesome things with the camera on this phone (Samsung Galaxy s23 active). Pro mode, plus expert raw.

This is a trichome shot of the bubble hash from the phone.

Gonna be using a new quartz banger just for the rosin dabs.

Here's some crunch berries (120iu-45iu bags.

Little darker than I would like, so it's only available in hash form. I pressed 10g of bubble, and got 7.5g rosin. Its a little darker than what my clients like. They are too hung up on color. Still tastes/ smells/dabs great

I never get that good of yield, normally 50 percent for me. I also get that same color on older dry Sift, and everyone, like you say is hung up on straw colored concentrates. It still smokes, tastes, vapes great. As for my yield, I have tried everything to increase yield, slower multiple presses, pre pressing, etc, I know if I switched from a 25 micron to a 50 it would increase, but like the 25 's consistency, both on lower and normal temps. Been pressing at 175 to 185.
 
I like 160* for most strains, some at 150*.

I only press 120iu-45iu hash. The 160/25 i save for edibles. And only use 25iu rosin press bags. Nothing should come through since my lowest micron bubble bag is 45iu.
 
I've tried 150 degrees and 160, but like more shatter consistency for my vaping device (The Bomb) than wax,or whipped consistency,which the higher temps achieves
