Satori Seeds began over 14 years ago as a project to breed high vibration herb… the kind of cannabis that opens the mind and heart to the truth of who and what we are.

Growing up in the Middle East, I was blessed to encounter cannabis from some of the most renowned regions in the world—India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. My first experience was smoking Himalayan charas, and it instantly brought me into a deep meditative state… stillness, clarity, and a profound love for all beings.

From that moment, I knew this was something sacred. And I felt a calling to share this type of herb with as many people as possible.

That led me down the path of working with heirloom and landrace genetics—obsessively seeking out and growing varieties that carried those same heart-opening, mind-expanding qualities. Over the years, I’ve seen not only my own life shaped by these plants, but others deeply touched in the same way.

The primary focus has always been on effect first… while also selecting for plants that are naturally resilient—able to handle pests, drought, and disease with minimal intervention. The goal is to create and preserve cultivars that will stand the test of time and thrive in a wide range of environments.

My breeding style leans heavily into open pollination, working with a broad population of males and females to maintain vigor, diversity, and stability. I don’t work with feminized seeds. I believe in keeping the gene pool strong and alive.

While I primarily work with landrace and heirloom varieties, I’ve also really enjoyed bringing in old world classics and weaving them into intentionally selected hybrids—always with the intention of preserving that deeper, more meaningful quality in the experience.

On the cultivation side, I keep things simple and aligned with nature—living soil, full mineral spectrum, and letting the biology do the work. When the soil is right, everything else follows. That’s a big part of what led me to develop my Sacred Soil amendment as well—to support these genetics in the way they were meant to be grown.

This thread is here for you all to document your runs—photos, notes, observations, challenges, and smoke reports. All of it is valuable. Seeing how these plants express themselves in different environments and hands is how we continue to learn and refine together.

Egyptian Heirloom

I acquired this line about 14 years ago, and from the first encounter it quickly became a true favorite.

Everyone who experiences this herb says the same thing—it’s an absolutely perfect smoke for social gatherings, meditation, and mellow days. What stood out to me right away was the heart-opening, uplifting quality. It naturally encourages a positive state, gratitude, and being present in the moment.

Over the past decade, I’ve continued selecting this line specifically for those traits. I work it through open pollination, keeping seeds only from the best mothers while maintaining a broad, diverse population. This helps preserve vigor, resilience, and the full range of expression.

These plants are incredibly hardy. They can handle cold nights, hot days, and even grow in sandy soil with minimal nutrients while still producing impressive flowers. They’re sensitive to heavy feeding, so less is more when it comes to fertilizer.

They show strong resistance to drought and pests, and the genetics make excellent breeding stock.

One of the more unique traits is their semi-autoflower tendency. Outdoors (Northern Hemisphere), they often begin flowering around June/July and can finish as early as late August into early September.

The effect leans sativa and shares similarities with other North African and Middle Eastern herb—clear, uplifting, and functional.

This line has also proven to be an extremely valuable breeding tool. It carries a true sativa-type effect while helping reduce flowering times when worked into equatorial sativas, without muddying or dulling the clarity of the experience. In contrast to more “indica”-leaning lines like Afghani, it maintains that clean, expansive quality while still bringing things in earlier.

The aroma profile is very expressive—peach blossom, rose, citrus, yeast, and a touch of funk. Some expressions can lean into that classic “soapy/incense” profile.

Flower structure follows a sativa pattern. Smaller, faster plants tend to produce more rounded, slightly denser flowers, while larger, longer flowering expressions are more airy with foxtailing and become incredibly sticky.

Hash made from these Egyptian genetics is truly exceptional.

I started growing the Peruvian Heirloom a couple weeks ago. I've been chatting with @Baba , getting some tips on this one. He's been super generous with taking the time to answer my questions, which I'm very grateful for .
He also invited me to run some testers:
Peruvian Heirloom x South Indian
Direct seeded (as per Baba's recommendation) on 4/6. I see 9/10 sprouts today. Just waiting on the blue spot.

I'm expecting some extreme vigor from this true F1 hybrid pure Sativa.
Description from Baba:
"This is a longer flowering line—expect at least 17+ weeks on the sativa side.
The South Indian came to me directly through a trusted contact living in India. I’ve been working it for my climate, selecting toward a more bushy, vigorous expression. It carries that classic South Indian ganja energy—pure electricity, clarity, and motivation.
It pairs beautifully with the Peruvian—bringing in more structure and density while still preserving that expansive, uplifting effect.
The South Indian is from the Idukki region of Kerala. A friend of mine sourced them directly in India and sent them over. It has a really nice earthy aroma—reminiscent of carrots and mango.
I paired that with Peruvian females. The seeds I sent you came from a Peruvian mother that had notes of passionfruit, vanilla, black pepper, and a touch of gasoline—pollinated by some very robust Idukki males."

Amazing

Direct seeding has been incredibly valuable for me, especially with heirloom and landrace genetics. I’ve seen the most vigor and success using my own seed-starting blend—coconut coir, quality compost, homegrown worm castings, and full spectrum rock dust. The seeds really seem to love it and take off fast.

Really excited to see how these Hummingbirds do in your garden A bunch of mine just sprouted, and I’m looking forward to getting them in the ground over the next few weeks.

Peruvian Heirloom

This Equatorial Heirloom is one of the most powerful and unique sativas I’ve ever encountered. I personally collected this line deep in the jungle along the Ucayali River—a truly magical place, rich with biodiversity and a long tradition of entheogenic plant use.

With high yields, heavy resin production, and a powerful aroma, these plants are a joy to grow when given enough space. Expect a complex terpene profile—berries and candy layered over earthy warmth, black pepper, and herbal spice, with occasional notes of tropical fruit, petrol, and that distinct astringent “fresh plastic” edge this line can express.

The plants develop long, slender, flexible branches that respond beautifully to training. They stretch vigorously and produce large, resin-drenched flowers. Indoors, a carbon filter is highly recommended—this one gets loud in flower. It is a long-flowering variety, but the wait is more than worth it, delivering an electric, soaring, blissful effect that uplifts and energizes. This is the kind of potency that has captivated true sativa lovers for generations.

Despite its exotic nature, it’s a fairly easy plant to grow. That said, it does best with plenty of room for both root development and canopy expansion. It can stretch up to 5x its size once flowering begins, and in many cases will take 14–20 weeks to fully mature. A lighter hand with nutrients is key—this line thrives with a “less is more” approach.

Patience is essential here, but the reward is exceptional—large, sticky flowers with effects that feel like they have no ceiling. It’s best to approach this one with respect, especially if you’re new to equatorial sativas. The experience can build gradually and become quite powerful over time.

The effects are highly motivating, clear, and expansive. This is one of my go-to varieties for reading, cleaning, working in the garden, or any task that benefits from focus and presence. Athletes and movement practitioners will especially appreciate the enhanced mind-body connection it offers.

One of my favorite aspects of this Peruvian line is its breeding potential. It carries a beautiful haze-like quality that translates well into hybrids, and I’ve found it to be incredibly valuable in imparting that uplifting, electric sativa effect while maintaining clarity in subsequent crosses.
