I didn't know what sesamoiditis was until I got it, and holy shit does it suck!
Basically, it is pain under the ball of the big toe.

I was feeling much better after taking it easy for a couple months, but managed to aggravate it again during our visit to DC for daughters graduation.
I may end up in a boot, and could even need surgery to remove the sesamoid bones.

My summer is pretty much fucked when it comes to working in the garden.
And now we have to pay someone to mow our yard, which sucks because I actually like doing it, and using a push mower is great exercise.

Has anyone else dealt with sasamoiditis?

I spent last summer booted with a torn sesamoid ligament in my right big toe. Once booted I managed to keep up with most of the garden needs. It was not fun but doable in small bites. I feel your pain brother.
