Tissue culture photo

Nice work @Castle Green Skull Labs. Member @SCJedi is quite advanced also when it comes to tissue culture technologies and techniques, and many whom are interested. If there is any tissue culture items you wish to share we have a forum area dedicated to learning.
All of my knowledge and protocols are available to anyone that wants to use them! Btw what section is appropriate for posting about TC?

what kind of cut would you need to do a tc. I was wondering what is needed to mail out some pizza toppings to a growmie to see if they can try tc with them. Assuming the other party knows what they are doing that is recieving what would be needed as far as what gets sent. From my assumption just cuts of nodes? Ive been curious

When I receive material in I like it to be as whole as possible so I can do the processing and determine where to make cuts etc. but you want lateral meristems or apical meristems and yes you are culturing the nodes or tops to produce shoots.

how does this stuff work do they grow slow rate in there? in the tubes? do you keep them cold?
Establishment is around 7-14 days then they move to multiplication which can be 21-28 days, then rooting which can be 14-21+ days, then acclimatization/hardening. No you don’t keep them cold, you can put cultures in cold storage. Tissue cultures don’t photosynthesis like regular plants do, there is sucrose aka cane sugar in the agar along with corresponding hormones. So putting them in cold storage slows their metabolism to almost nothing.
