Trichitect's Travails

I had just enough time to do a bit a foraging after tending to the garden. Love me some Chanterelles!
Sauteed in bacon grease 🤤, nothing like it 🔥

Great haul, those are so, so good. I've only ever found one patch, got the timing right once and man they were the best mushroom ever. I like them better than morels, more meat to them. Couple other times I checked was too late they were bug ridden. It's too far away for me to get to now. I'm sure they're still growing there. Lucky dog.

Yeah, they can be difficult to find, but so worth the hunt. I'm super lucky though, I wondered off a trail once and found a massive patch, some years we pick over 100 lbs. In that spot. Been picking from that same patch for over 10 years. As long as we get some rain, they pop up at the same time every year, just gotta find the time to get out there and grab em.

how did you go with that rebel grown strain you grew outdoors last year i think it was? Any good
Sorry bud, I was supposed to update you on that a while back. It was a great plant, but unfortunately I got a hard frost just a bit too early. Though it weathered it well, it didn't fully finish. With that said, it had the best resin of all my outdoors. I ended up washing all of it, the resulting hash is so bubbly & melting. Definitely made the highest quality hash of the year.
I hit some lower branches on that plant with a Pure Michigan male, among others. Got a growmie running a tester of that right now.

hopefully your progeby finish a little earlier before the frost. Dont have that issue here, usually the issue is plenty of rain, high humidity, and still hot temps. Recipe for botrytis. It definitley looked a beast and was chugging along. This yearz looks good too mate.
