Wanted - Sunken Treasure - High MAC

It's just one of those super elite strains I've wanted to try for awhile. I feel like eventually they'll take it to f3 and I'll get another shot.

Dying to try some of this 'elite' stuff to see what the fuss is about. This is one I've heard great stuff about.
Hitch honestly man i have alot of "elite" breeder strains. From compound ,seed junky, relentless dying breed lit farms etc. Yes they are all good but some of the best plants in the past 8 yrs of growing 10s of thousands of plants have come from amos otis (black mamba) frimpong (punch mittens) and many other reasonably priced high quality breeders. So if you want to splurge do so but realize the pics they show are the best of the best plant of probably 100s of test plants depending on breeder. Some breeders like humboldt do numbers in the 1000s of test plants per new strain. Im running amos's black lime preserves for the first time and 1 plant is amazing only after 23days in flower. I think you can always find a gem from no matter the cost of the gear. Anyway just a thought

No, I hear you. You’ll get no argument from me.

But I just gotta know man. Know what I mean?

Hitch grows some super frosty bud, I hope you guys can work something out so he can fulfill that desire for discovery. At Deeply Rooted, the F2's are 200$ a pack. I have to struggle to suppress the disdain I feel when I see bean prices like that, blows my mind.
Man I just scrolled through the site listings of Sunken Treasure... most packs are 150-250$. I had similar feelings.
Disdain is a good adjective for this... it's just, well... I have nothing good to say about pricing like this. Crazy. Not in line with the PH vibe by any means. $100 is my limit but even that is pushing it nowadays.

Hey lg i understand its a lot, but for guys that do this stuff for a living such as myself, its chump change compared to profit between seeds and cuts and i have to says if you buy top breeders seeds the percentage of finding gems are greater than most. Frimpong is the exception to the rule. But i can say most of the inhouse, compound, sunken treasure, jungle boys etc have a lot of keepers. I use to cringe 3 years ago at anything over 100 bucks, now i spend 500 on a breeder cut without flinching because i know breeder did the work in selection. If i was a home grower or hobbyist i would absolutely seek out bang for your buck strains, but for me its about everything that makes it to flower has to be exceptional in all boxes yield quality and bag appeal! Cheers chef

For sure I understand commercial vs hobby. I'd never pay that much for a cut or buy a cut at all, but I'm a seed guy.
Same with soil vs hydro/other, I'd only ever grow organic in soil. But that's at a hobby level. Commercial I'd rethink that.
Tons of breeders on here that have great stuff, alot just trade/give away seeds. The ones that sell all under $100 a pack from what I've seen. Closer to $60 usually.
Imho that's what's fair price wise for seeds.
But again the hobby grower is in a much different place than the commercial grower.
Just my 2c!

Thats all i was saying as a commercial guy. I could never grow in soil , half the yield but if i was growing for myself or outdoors i absolutely would. I get almost the same smell and taste growing in 50/50 coco perlite as organic with double the yield. I think curing is the most important step in cannabis cultivation. Its easy to grow it takes years to learn superior drying and curing, unfortunately most hobbyist dont have full environmental control or the space for curing room/area.

I agree, curing is very important.
I don't think the super long dry is necessary, a week is fine, but jarring at the right time is crucial. Too wet isn't great, too dry it's game over.
I admit I don't have an ideal enviornment to dry. Too hot is the main issue. But the results are still pretty good.

One more thing on these expensive seeds. I dont play the hype game. Alot of polyhybrid nonsense imho.
I see IBL and landrace as the future. Strains with unique terpene profiles and unique effects.
Look at the lineage of all these expensive hype crosses. Gg4, cookies, runtz, skittlez, mac, etc. Inbreeding to the extreme.
Don't get me wrong, the hype is hype for a reason. I'm sure their great.
But how monotonous and repetitive... I love seeing folks on here go in unique directions.
Brisco doing some banana work, Frimpong doing baked goods lines. Those two come to mind off the top. Verdant does some nice ibl/landrace work. I have Chocolate Diesel reproduction from Doober. That's only naming a few...
Why pay 150+ for the same crossed to the same.
Don't get me started on how silly the commercial/dispensary market is. People want strong and hype name stuff... so silly. Degradation of the sacred plant. Imho.
Badgering their endocannabinoid system comes to mind. A quote from Bohdi on the Potcast.
I'm considering applying for a micro liscence here. I passed the initial social equity step, but the next step means paying to register a liscenced business name and doing aton of paperwork. Even if I get selected in the lottery, then you have to play the market game of growing things people want. Which is driven by propaganda, like most things under capitalism. Not sure I want to play that game. I'm considering it. Have a week or so to submit paperwork.
Ok rant over thanks for listening folks.

Lg are you in MD. Because thats what i have a MD micro growers license. They approved me because i live in da hood and 1st approvals went to socially impacted areas. They also were willing to give me a 50k start-up loan but i declined. It is a shit ton of paperwork. But you can do llc yourself for cheap. Here it was only 2grand for the license. Of course that's every year. Im looking for a space now but havent found anything thats right yet. Good thing is here in Baltimore where i live theres lots of incredibly cheap commercial industrial space. Im allowed to have 2000 sq ft of canopy space.

By the way ibl and landrace strains arent commercially viable ive grown over 100 different ones and keep my panama red- Vietnamese silverleaf for personal use but my clientele wont buy it or any landrace. I love pure sativa landrace genetics they are commercially non existent.
