Damn man, I'm sorry to see that. Maybe I don't know you could cut just below that?
I could save a few lower branches but I've got plenty of plants -- and this one has shown that it is vulnerable to gray stem mold.

Our weather hasn't been that bad so far this year. A little humid, but nothing crazy.

Plants that are still flowering in October will have a more hazardous environment for sure.

Outdoor garden activities right now include pruning lower branches, opening up the center, topping off with compost, and pinching off big fan leaves.
Everything is ready to pop! :D
