Also have not used any form of AI myself.

Using AI to post in forums seems sorta "disingenuous" 🤷‍♂️ I mean, we're all here on our own personal time discussing a thing we all love deeply. I'm not being graded on my forum posts or anything, so why would I need any assistance in babbling about weed and seeds? 🤷‍♂️😂😂 LOL

* I didn't mean for that to sound like any of you are disingenuous for using it 🤷‍♂️

On a side note, I thought AI was gonna be humanoid robots n shit, not "super Photoshop" and "auto-thesaurus"

I've not used AI anything yet, so I can't really say. I know a lot of my friends are using it for nearly everything and half the shit they say is wrong lol....

Exactly. It's not reliable enough yet to actually be the source that people want it to be. Another 15 seconds to find the actual source of whatever information is always better than taking AI's word for it. Not that most people even have the ability to actually parse information accurately and draw conclusions from it in the first place.

Also, I hate talking to machines. Leave a voicemail? NO. Talk to your chatbot? NO. Get fucked.

I barely even want to talk to people, let alone a sentient hard drive designed by a horde of silicon valley douchebag failsons. If a company uses AI in their customer service interactions, I will not buy anything from them, ever.

Edited to reduce intensity. I've been having a tough time.

It’s a tool, to each their own I rather read my ai corrected and confirmed info and well written so can be understood than a not fully explained human version . Just saying I see so many times exp in forums people will say they like this or that or this works and never explain shit

Blah I know like always ur all gonnea hate on me ( at least I’m honest ) , I’ve tried multi ai chats and ChatGPT is amazing I love how effective and well answered things are and if u question it or wonder why it def can answer if Inless it’s not online. I’ve corrected from my nutes, IPM and many things in growing and misc just by a better answer and def better format than most self website or replies from a user. there’s nothing wrong with questioning something but it ChatGPT even let’s u know where every source is but also remove things if u didn’t agree . What’s to hate besides a recipe or knowing something and it can exp,ain it better than a human ?

anything I questioned and did manual research whatcha know it was ethier opinion or wrong , not saying it can’t be wrong but it def has a good medium and to block even bad information before giving u it blindly . for example many veggies I def was doing it wrong from spacing to methods and it gave sooo many great suggestions and even did calculations for every plant per row , so many things . for example we bought preen and it says “ for gardens” that shit isn’t for human consumption tht version . the bags def hide that but knowing the natrual can be used and for example potatos or corn and many things u can’t just add it and expect to work, it’s timing and doing it right . I love how every convo is saved and I can even make pdf or worksheets and refine many things that def were in questioned or merged to do to all plants be it’s obviously wrong or can be forgotten to do.

That's fair. I disagree with you but respect your position.

^ did you use AI to post that, by chance? Because HOLY SHIT 😂 lol, i had to reread it like 3x and i haven't even smoked today 🤷‍♂️😂

Like I said, I think it’s a great tool , doesn’t mean it’s the only thing and u can’t research on other things like a book .

Why ChatGPT Is a Worthy Source of Information

  1. Trained on a Vast Range of Trusted Sources
ChatGPT is trained on a broad base of books, academic material, articles, and reputable websites. That means its answers often reflect consensus knowledge across disciplines—like a super-quick guide pulling from encyclopedias, textbooks, and expert Q&As.
  2. Fast, Clear, and Tailored
Unlike a search engine, ChatGPT doesn’t just give links—it gives direct, clear, and contextual answers, customized to your question. It can explain ideas in simple language, break down complex topics, and adjust explanations to your level.
  3. Excellent for First Drafts, Planning, and Conceptual Work
Whether you’re writing an email, creating a lesson plan, or outlining a garden, ChatGPT can quickly give you a polished, well-structured starting point that saves time and boosts creativity.
  4. Checks Logic, Grammar, and Reasoning
It helps users think critically by testing ideas, suggesting improvements, and identifying logical flaws—like a second brain for editing and problem-solving.
  5. Self-Aware About Its Limits
Unlike some sources that pretend to be perfect, ChatGPT openly acknowledges when it may be outdated, uncertain, or needs verification—and encourages users to double-check where it matters.

⚠️

But It’s Not Infallible—Here’s the Honest Part
  • Not a replacement for peer-reviewed or expert advice when accuracy is mission-critical (like legal, medical, or life-altering decisions).
  • Sometimes gets facts wrong or oversimplifies complex issues.
  • Doesn’t “know” in the human sense—it generates answers based on patterns in data, not firsthand experience.

🧠 Bottom Line
ChatGPT is like a very well-read, super-fast assistant. It shouldn’t replace deep research or expert consultation, but for fast answers, brainstorming, learning, and creative help, it’s absolutely a worthy and useful tool—especially when used wisely and cross-checked.

Well said and agreed

Like most things we are privy to, this has been around a lot longer than we are told and we receive only a weakened down far inferior version to the ones currently being implemented by "agencies" and corporations.
Does terminator ring out? Absolutely
However, it is pointless to shut the gate when the horse has bolted now.
Mankind will receive the reaction for the action soon enough.
Chatgpt a good tool? Every tool is a good tool for the required operation.

I smoked a joint and went down a rabbit hole the other day about this. In my humble opinion..... With the advent of ai controllers and automation I feel like AI has it's place with the commercial and home grower. It makes information accessable in a way that is convenient and understandable. This can be extremely helpful but also you are at the mercy of the ones and zeros of the ai as far as where it sources it's information and how it comes to it's conclusions. The usefulness haa undoubtedly been displayed in the canna world and outside. Sometimes in a way that makes some people feel uncomfortable. Ex.. ai chatbots, ai art, ai music, etc... I personally feel weird about some parts of it but It seems to be the future and It hasn't hurt to aquire knowledge. I have used AI canva to make flyers for charity fundraisers , stickers, power points as part of the canna community and outside as well. That being said in my personal anecdotal bro science experience the same commercial cuts run in perfect enviornment pale when compared to the at home craft grower. I don't know that we have the data to support what actually makes a better smokable flower. AI has it's place and is finding its way into different spaces. Some spaces I am more comfortable with than others. I hope it helps more than it hurts. I personally don't see myself getting an AI controller any time soon and I'd rather ask some trusted growmigos over the computer on grow advice. I'll probably mess around with it for canna and non canna related things. Anyways thanks for letting me ramble a bit. Some relatable screenshots of good and bad of ai. Sourced from my journeys in the discordverse

Shout out to the growmie Terpasaurus midwest, his grow journal is full of automation tech data and knowledge. Feels like he is growing in 3025.

Maybe I was the only one who saw Terminator when it came out. I was high as hell and it still kind of freaks me out, so, no thanks.
No hating on you and I get change and the ai thing is “scary” but it’s the tool itself and it’s reasons, like I def don’t trust Facebook and all that’s plan for ai.Just saying majority diss a tool like ChatGPT ( do most of u even know what ChatGPT is lol ) that makes no money off its actions besides a premium if u want such aka more answers per day.

Facebook and social media’s ai i can see the new thing is being on ai glasses and no real life and that’s okay. Their ai def with focus with money sucking and life taking websites that’s only focus to keep u addicted to it. I see walking dead of people who think they are stars to having friends cause of this fake social crap, that’s bad.So are u on google/yourube/social media? Thats something that knows everything and sells your info. Sounds odd to be scared of a tool (ChatGPT) where it all it does is give u info u asked for vs only thing is steal ur info and make money off u. Im good on all that social addiction. Interesting the hate but funny how many are game for social media and def ai driven watching and cool with it i def see alot of u on there np
